Remarks

The College life is great so far. The people here are accepting and the techers too are very understanding. Although there are cons in every institute. Ours have a delayed decisions over issues and delayed maintenance of lab apparatus and washrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is now an application based unlike earlier. The exams involve questions which are quite practical, there'll be more numericals over theory or derivations. Saying so particularly in terms of Physics. The application based questions enhances your industrially knowledge.

Placement Experience

4

Generally consultancies, outsourcing company and educational or education tech companies hire from our course. For the same, the placement cell of the College take charge. So far internships are concerned, there's an internship cell in the College which maintains a portal where student fromm different courses can seek internships.

College Events

5

Cultural fest- Confluence, departmental fest of various courses, ECA fest by ECA societies and some ECA events by college administration are organised in the College. Each event has different footfall. As far for the cultural fest, the foot fall is around 2000 people per day. The fest lasts for 3 days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The annual fee costs around 20k rupees which makes it 1600? per months which is quite feasible for a regular middle class family. The accommodation however costs huge. The PGs and flats in North campus are expensive. The Pg in which I stay cost me around 13k per month. Annually 1.7-1.8 lakh rupees would be the rough estimated money spent by a student who stays in north campus of Delhi.

Fees and Financial Aid

I applied for a scholarship called INSPIRE which is given to bachelor's in science pursuing students. The students have to apply with their application and credentials at the inspire website. Further, the inspire organization releases their cutoff. The Students can further get all the forms and noc from the College administration signed and upload it on the website. The amount is then gained in an year. The average sum is 60k? per year for the three years of College.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is very chique and it's very safe. Students can roam around even in the night. The gender ratio is approximately 5:4. The girl population however is very nice. People are very familiar with different sexual orientations and are very open in talking about it and accepting it. The gender sensitive workshops are being organised in the College oon a regular basis. Extracurricular includes Dance, Western choir, Hindustani choir, Finearts, debating, theatre, social service, etc. The extracurricular labs and rooms are provided by the College when asked. The funds are to be collected through sponsorships from banks, cafes, educations institutes, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

No. There's no girls' hostel of the College. However, there is a boys hostel which costs around 40k ? to them. The amount includes residence, food and maintainence of the rooms. The facilities like laundry, gym are still missing.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, we connect with our seniors and alumns through social networking sites and in every two years alumni meet is conducted.

Admission

I got the admission through the merit list under Physics Hons. The course considers your cumulative scores of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and then releases the final cutoff. For the same I had 97% in the core PCM subjects. When you know that you've cleared the cutoff you are supposed to take a print of the appling application along with the college application which will be available on the Delhi University portal on which you applied earlier. You can take them to the College. The administration department will then make a quick read over your credentials and ask to you to pay the fee online on the very same portal. After you've payed the fee you are enrolled as a student in the College under the course for which you had applied.

Faculty

4

The tentative lectures would be around 60 for core subjects and 35 for general electives. The average age as per hierarchy is above 26. The teachers are generally assistant professors who have done their bachelor's and master's in the respective fields. Only a few are permanent teachers who have gone far to doing PHD in the respective fields.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
