Remarks

We lacked a good campus because of area constriction. We never had separate department buildings like other colleges, all departments were included in a single large building. The sports grounds, especially football ground were not up to mark.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum was mostly theoretical with little emphasis on practical labs. The total length of course was 4 years divided into 7 sems with 6 subjects and 2 labs in each semester. Though the schedule was hectic we got enough time for extracurricular activities.

Placement Experience

3.5

We had placement cell in our college which gives us training and provides us with soft skill development. They continuously provides us with different workshops on several topics and different events were organised to test our skills. Most of the placement were done in the It department only with companies like TCS, CTS, Huawei.

College Events

4

Different events like sports, Tech fests, arts fest, college day, Hackathon and Robathon events were regularly organised. We also had NSS, NCC and eco clubs actively working in our campus. Several international organizations like IEEE events are also conducted in our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As a government college the fee were very affordable. There were thouree different groups of students studying in the college. 1.Meritorious students with low income. 2. Meritorious students with normal income. 3. Students who study in NRI quota.

Fees and Financial Aid

Kerala government merit scholarship were provided to the students. I studied by availing loan from the bank, State Bank of India for the loan procedure we have to get some paperwork done for which the college authority gave their support.

Campus Life

3.5

Extracurricular activities were not upto the mark due to the lack of infrastructure in our college but considering the lack of area we had decent facilities. The gender ratio were in normal ranges and there weren't any cases of discrimination.

Hostel Facilities

3

College had its own hostel for both men an women. All the hostels were located near to the campus. First year students had a separate hostel to avoid potential clash with senior students. There were also several students staying in private pg and hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

We had held in placement sessions from alumni department. An active alumni department is working at our college which also helps in infrastructure development of the college. After I graduated in 2017, I went to an alumni meeting that held in this year.

Admission

First we have to attend the Kerala engineering entrance test then the authorities will form ranklist on the basis of 12 th marks and entrance marks.Different colleges are then alloted to the students according to the options they provide in the online portal on the basis of merit.

Faculty

4

Most of them were highly experienced professors with many years of service under their belt. However few of them were recent graduates with little experience bin the profession. The faculty were all selected after different rounds of interviews so they were all competent in their field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance. The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies. The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
