Remarks

This college is really a school. Not giving much freedom for students.not a really good college if you want to enjoy.but the surroundings of the college is really beautiful.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is really tough and is stressfull whereas the exam structure is better. The questions during exams are bit tough. The paper correction is not going in a truthfull manner. Question papers should be made much more simpler so that many of the students could win exams and get better jobs

Placement Experience

Most of the companies are IT based. No core companies of other subjects are coming for placement. Most of the students get placed in CS based companies. If you know programming then you'll get placed for sure. I hope this college could include core companies of other branches. Here we have skilled students but they get placed in IT companies

College Events

There are events onducted in our college. Branch wise events are also conducted. Since the number of students are becoming less these events are not conducted in its most efficient manner. We have a really great event called KAIZEN condusted every year and is really awesome event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes fee structure is feasible. This college is providing fee concession for sc/st students. Even they have concession in their hostel fees. Fees is not really a thing to matter in this college. The fee structure is feasible for students. Even scholarships are given.

Fees and Financial Aid

Merit cum means scholarship for general as well as for sc/st students. E-grantz scholarships are also available.

Campus Life

Labs are really limited.and are not conducted in a good way.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they have been helping us to build sports ground and their financial help is really good.

Admission

Admission thourough entrance exam and i got a better rank in engineering entrance exam. I was admitted in this college with merit seat. This is a government self financing college. This college accepts both merit and non merit students.

Faculty

I'm having a bad review about the faculties of this college. Many of them are well qualified but fails to make students understand about the subject. Many of the permanent staffs are not good at teaching and are very good at egoistic problems. Faculties have ego problems between them and they try to maintain that ego all along

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

A good campus to chase your dream & Cherish your memories

Firstly I apply for keam entrance exam, then according to your performance, you will get a particular rank. There will be different cut-offs for each course. In my admission time computer science has the highest cutoff due to the great demand for the course. College Of Engineering Munnar Diaries

I applied to all government engineering colleges and government controlled engineering colleges in Kerala. In government controlled colleges, I gave first preference to the College of Engineering, Munnar. My KEAM rank was 31247. I didn't get allotments to any other government colleges because my rank was low. I got merit allotment in my college through the caste(OBC) quota. If our rank is less than 33000 in KEAM, you can definitely get merit allotment in the College of Engineering, Munnar. But one thing to remember is that there is only a small number of student intake. Age is not a problem. The admission process was super easy. Just went to college with an allotment slip and the required paperwork which is informed by CEE Kerala and remitted the fees. Tuition fee is 35000 per annum for merit seat and total including extras like association fee, art fee etc it became 55000 for the first year only....Read More
