Remarks
The Frequency of Exmas is quite high. This doesn't allow students to have free time to explore other fields(although the curriculum provides almost all type of courses). But overall the Quality of College is good. Professors are highly qualified
Course Curriculum Overview
The Research Focus of this College is 4/5 All the Professor are having huge lists of publication and very good alma mater. The Frequency of Exam is 3-4 Exam Cycle per Semester. It's little hectic for Freshie but becomes chill for Sophomores and on.
Placement Experience
The Placement in this college for CSE and Mechanical are quite Good, although intake of students is also high we need to have some skill that would set us apart from the crowd. Microsoft and other tech gaints Do provide internships with a decent stipend.
College Events
Thapar hosts a lot of Events be it cultural or Technical. Thapar also hosts on of it's flagship sport event URJA where the participating college includes and not limited to IITs NITs DU, etc. The cultural events are Big.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since Thapar has become a private College after 2016, The fee Structure is quite expensive. Tuition Fee - 101000 Development Fee - 59000 Per sem. Although Thapar do provide huge amount of scholarship for meritorious students as well as those who are in need.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides very attractive scholarship for meritorious students. I have also been granted a scholarship of 318000. The College Fees have been waived of only the Hostel Expenses are to be paid. This scholarship was granted upon the following grounds, more than 95% in PCM in Boards, top 20 Students from the Total Intake. There are several Other internships too.
Campus Life
The Quality of Labs and is Very good. There is also good diversity of Students many international students come for Studies. The Gender Ratio is decent here. There is very high tolerance with regards to Gender, Ethnicity, Race, Religion and Economic status.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni of Thapar are placed at some very respectable positions and are always helping the college in some way or around. They provide Funds to societys even provide scholarships to Students after they clear some kind of criteria.
Admission
The Scope of CSE and Mechanical engineering in TIET is very high, students are offered Great Packages here. Microsoft regularly visits campus for Recruitment. Texas Instruments offers one of the highest package (Int'l).
Faculty
All the Faculty members who take lectures are PhD and are very passionate about the subjects they teach. They provide a lot of guidance to a student and often give Mini Projects too. Overall it provides you a good leaning experience
