Remarks
The only negative remark I would give is about the course content. The course is really outdated and students don't get industry ready while studying these subjects. They also don't get much practical knowledge of any topic.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty much outdated, I curriculum could have been much better. The course is not industry oriented and hence students don't get exposure to the practices of industry. They also don't get much exposure to the practical world and the course only covers the theoretical knowledge and that too is outdated
Placement Experience
We had nearly 80 students in our batch and those who were eligible to sit for placements are all placed in companies like TCS, Infosys, ITC infotech, cognizant etc. The highest package was offered by Amazon 29Lpa and the lowest was 3LPA by Hexadon. Roles offered were mainly of software developer and testing.
College Events
Annual events like technological fest and Eclecia are held where students from various departments and various colleges pour in to compete and win exciting prizes, Eclecia the cultural fest of heritage is one of the biggest college fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure would range something around 45000 per semester. Additional cost for hostel is charged if a student opts for it. Although eligible students can get fee exemption or some relief under some conditions.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provides scholarship for eligible students. Loan facility is provided which can be availed from the accounts department of the college. Fee exemption or fee relief can also be availed if a student applies for it and is found to be eligible.
Campus Life
The college has a very big playground where sports events are held. Separate playground for each sport is provisioned. Separate groups teams and clubs are also formed consisting of players. The condition of labs and libraries are very good, specially the computer labs are world class.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are on twin sharing basis. The monthly cost would be Rs 6000 for hostel and mess included. The hostel room conditions are not that good but fare for the price. The food condition is worse here.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are always helpful and are ready to help in any situation. The alumnI of the college also visits college in few years and share their stories of how they rose to high positions from this college.
Admission
I got into this college thourough WBJEE examination which is conducted every year for lakhs of aspirants who aspire to get into the best of engineering colleges of West Bengal. This college being the top private college of West Bengal has a general cutoff of nearly 5000-8000 depending upon the opted branch or stream.
Faculty
The faculty in some departments are highly qualified and knowledgeable while seriously lack professionalism in others. The teaching quality is not upto the mark and it could have been better. The faculty is also not well versed with recent technologies and hence it affects the students growth.
