Good place to study

Overall I will say its a good college for those who want to explore Pharmacy. The management is very supportive. The only thing that can boost the performance of students is by increasing the number of training programmes.

The course curriculum is as per the MAKAUT syllabus as it is affiliated under MAKAUT. The exam structure is semester wise which means 2 exams in one year. Other than the semester exams there are various other modes of examination also like the internals, regular assignments, etc. The curriculum system provides industry-specific knowledge to the students helping them in securing good placements. Industrial visits are organized every year. Students are encouraged to go for Industrial training programmes.

The college provides No Objection Certificate to students who undergo industrial training at pharmaceutical companies during semester breaks. Placement takes place mainly in almost all sectors like production, research, training programme, pharmacovigilance as well as sales sector. The jobs offered are quite satisfactory.

The cultural festivals held in college include Fest, Freshers, Reunion, Farewell, Teachers' Day, Pre-Diwali celebration, Annual Sports Meet and various other events. A huge number of inter, as well as intra college competitions, are held. It helps in making the college days more colourful.

The overall fees structure for our batch (2016-20) was around 4.5lakhs. Apart from this, we have to pay additionally the Examination fees that is Rs. 1200. At the beginning days, we used to pay our fees by drawing demand draft but now online payment modes are also accepted. The college provides us with a transparent fee breakdown at the beginning of the session only

I personally haven't opted for any educational loan or scholarship, but tuition fee waiver facilities are there for reserved or minority students.

The gender ratio is almost equal. GNIPST provides a very vibrant college life. Interaction and friendship with the juniors as well as the seniors are very easy. Totally ragging free campus. Very cordial relationship with the alumni as well. Due to the enormous number of activities occurring around the year, students are encouraged to pursue their hobbies as well apart from the curriculum. Labs are well maintained as well as well equipped and the students are allowed free access for their academic purposes.

The college has a sound alumni network working in various fields and well established in their life. They are very much helpful and are always active for giving unbiased opinions to the juniors in their careers. The relationship is very cordial.

I was always interested in joining any medical line course, but my medical rank was not good so I had to join Pharmacy. Though at first, it was a by chance decision to join Pharmacy then interest grew slowly and am enjoying my subject. I got admission through my WBJEE rank. Reason for selecting this college was because of the reputation of JIS colleges and also for the proximity to my home.

The college maintains a sense of discipline and decorum. Qualified faculty members are there. Every subject is taught by 2 faculty members. Relationship with the teachers is cordial. Every student is assigned a mentor for more detailed interaction and guidance. They are quite devoted to the student's well-being.
