My overall experience in college was good. It a quite good for business management studies and totally satisfied.

Course Curriculum Overview

Jims, kalkaji has provided us many opportunities to improve our skills by conducting various extra curriculum activities in the campus. They have various committees like a dramatic committee, sports committee, etc., Which helps us in growing better. The college also provides us with better campus placements as more 80% of students get the placement.

Placement Experience

Many big companies like Deloitte, E & Y , Amazon, etc visit our college for the placements. Thre is a placement committee as well in the college as a special step to prepare the students for the placement. More than 80% of students get placements.

College Events

Since there are many committees in the college, so many compliments are held here, in which the students get the opportunity to participate in the competition. Some of the events like Anoogonj, Zest, and many other events are held in other colleges also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees for B.Com(Hons) is around Rs.1,00,000, And the college accepts the payment in various kinds. It covers all the costs under the fees like academic fee, Books fee, computer labs fee, guest lectures fee and many more. I'm totally satisfied with the fees as well as the education that I'm getting from college.

No, I'vent opted for any kind of education loan or any scholarships for this course. But yes, i think college offers scholarships to some students.

Campus Life

The campus life is good and has all the necessary facilities available in the college. The gender ratio is equal and students can visit nearby places to explore like Hauz Khas, Nehru Place, Lajpat Nagar, East of Kailash and many more to enjoy themselves.

Alumni/Alumna

I' vent interacted much with the seniors but they are quite nice to their juniors. In college, ragging is an offense and doesn't take place.

Admission

Jims, kalkaji is affiliated with GGSIPU. GGSIPU organizes the IPU CET for the admission of the students. The better ranks they get, the better opportunity to opt for the college is provided. I wanted to pursue a business course, so i opt for B.Com (Hons). And this college comes under TOP 5 colleges of GGSIPU for this course.

Faculty

I'm pursuing B.Com(Hons), this course is of 6 semesters, in every semester the teachers are different for different subjects. The faculty of this college is very supportive to us in every possible way and I'm blessed to be part of this college. The expertise of the faculty is excellent, they clear every possible doubt that the students may have. The faculty are well versed of their respective subjects.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I hdd 90.89 percentile in my CAT 2024 and 93.18 percentile in XAT 2025. These are very good scores and make a candidate like me eligible for top B-schools. The eligibility of the course is to have 50% minimum marks in your undergraduate. The application form, fees, and any other information regarding admission are available on thier admission portal.
