Highly Overrated

College is highly overrated for it's placements.The academics are highly poor,it is mainly due to the university and campus politics.There are so many strikes in a already tight schedule and hence in no semester portions have been completed.University exams are of poor standard and correction is not reliable.

Courses are not updated for the current technologies and most of the teachers focus on how to score good marks for the exam rather than going into the subject.Exams and Labs are often hectic because in labs teachers are often concerned with writing things in the record rather than doing the experiments and analysing the results.

Internship options are very limited and college doesn't provide much help.But placements are best in the state with 100% placement for all appearing students.But packages are pretty low with mean salary around 5 LPA.But good companies do come for placements and a very few gets good placements.

Our college hosts Drishti -a technical festival and Dhwani -a cultural festival every year.There is a footfall of around 20000 for drishti and 12000 for dhwani.These are spread across 3 days and have many events with large prize money.Also there will be 2 pro shows for both the fests.

Annual fees is around 10000 including University fees.It is split into two semesters with 5000 each semester.Around 2000 of each semester fees is University exam fees.Hence with around 3000 rupees college fee it is one of the most affordable college in the country.But has good infrastructure and other facilities.

It is a government college and hence it offers scholarship for economically backward students. There are different scholarships and mostly they are around 10000 per year which would cover the college fees.

There are so many extra curricular activities and a large number of technical and non technical clubs.There are many technical workshops organised by these clubs.Also a cultural fest and a tech fest is arranged by the college every year, having a large footfall from across the state.Politics is active in the campus and due to which there are so many strikes which disturb the academic activities.

Our college is one of the oldest one in the country and has a wide alumni network but the students rarely gets any benefit from that. Seniors are highly friendly and helpful. They help in curricular and extra curricular activities.

I choose EEE over other courses because electric vehicles and smart grids are going to create a high demand for electrical engineers.Admission process is simple, you need to just register online for all the college and courses u prefer and college and course will be allotted based on your rank in Entrance exam.

Most of them are highly qualified based on their degrees.But only a very few have good knowledge about the subject and knows how to teach.Also the class schedule is such that it would be impossible for you to concentrate on the classes of those who teaches well.
