Remarks
We get loaded with work towards the end of the sem and we find that hectic. And that’s what I find negative. Positive remark is what I said above like the infrastructure and the teaching. The faculty. The cleanliness and the location of the college. It’s in the city. Not too much inside like most of the colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
The exams here man they are pretty tough like seriously. It’s the Kerala technological university, the Kerala govt. university and it’s hectic only I should say. But we get a lot of study holidays. And the thing is portions they rush up but somehow they complete everything. And that’s a plus point in our college. Labs are tough too I should say. Labs are internally evaluated. And exams are hectic cause we have two internal exams. And we have to secure a pass marks in these two exams only then we’ll be eligible to appear to the final semester exam.
Placement Experience
Yes the placements here are good. Compares to overall colleges in Kerala we get a good rate of the students getting placed every year. So many companies come here for placements. Like cognizant, Tata, Amazon etc and since our college is near the info park, kochi a lot of companies there prefer to take students from our college as it’s a well known institution in Kerala.
College Events
Technical events like techfest hosted by our college where so manny Participants from many other colleges of Kerala come and participate here and they bag several prizes. It is a very big event actually and so we have keen interest and participation in this. Moving on to cultural events we have bharatham Which happened two weeks ago in our college And it back so very big function too. Popular cine stars come for the inauguration and we enjoy our these events. There are four houses in our college and the house which scores the most number of points wins the trophy of the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is little too much compared to the government colleges here. But since this is a private college and they provide better infrastructure and teaching facilities then this government colleges I think this is like apt to set this much fees for this college and it’s not a very high I mean it’s moderately high.
Fees and Financial Aid
We have all the general scholarships available that are provided by the government. And I have secured the AICTE government scholarship in which we get a fee waver for all our academic years. So I just have to pay the hostel fee. The college also provided scholarships for the students who secure ranks here.
Campus Life
Labs are really good. We have enough labs to accommodate our whole class and it’s really good infrastructures. We have a very big Cricket ground that is well maintained and we can also find it on Google maps if you just search RSET cricket ground. Add to that we have a very good football ground. There is also basket ball court.
Hostel Facilities
We have good hostel facilities here and Hostel is situated right next to College. We have a 13 storey new building. It’s really hygienic and not like other government colleges. I like our hostel. And we get good food too. It’s walkable distance only here to college. We can see our college from hostel. We come here for our afternoon lunch during our 45 mins break. There is 3 sharing and 2 sharing rooms. 2 sharing comes with attached bathouroom. And we have common toilets for the 3 sharing. It’s clean and is cleaned everyday.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumini meet happens here regularly and they come motivate us. They give us ideas in the projects to take and they also help us mentally with any hardships we going thourough. Alumini running start ups are here and they take us for internships.
Admission
I had come to this college for admission before the entrance exam results were out because people said it would be difficult to get an admission here. So me along with my parents came here ( we stay in Coimbatore ) with a recommendation letter from the principal of our school. Our school is an CMI institution. This college is one too. So we thought that letter would help at least to some extend. But nothing happened. The fathers here said it’s not possible and there was some entrance exam conducted here; which I didn’t know and the exam was over. So they said now the only way to get in here was to wait for the results of the KEAM exam. (KEAM exam has this practice of releasing the marks before they generate the rank list. Like so we knew the marks before itself) When we asked about the expectancy to get with the marks what I had secured, they told it’d be difficult if we compare the previous statistics. So we had to go empty handed all way back. But I don’t know to my astonishment the ranks were out in two weeks or so and I had secured marks that fetched me a decent rank enough to get into almost any course I wanted here. So I had given ECE as my first choice as I like to learn more about electronics and communications and it a growing domain. So that is how I got into this college.
Faculty
The faculty here are very nice and they are well trained. They take interest to solve our doubts. They are helpful and I feel comfortable to ask them my doubts too. It’s always good to have teachers like that cause you’ll get to know the subject more. And it’s like only if you like the teacher taking the subject, you’ll have interest for the subject.
