My Review-Dibrugarh University

Negative: Faculties were too strict Positive: The environment is beautiful Lots of places to hang out in the university Anytime something fun happens in the auditorium Canteen food was tasty. The weather was perfect.

In our time the course structure was an old syllabus. But when I was in the 8th semester the syllabus changed for my junior which includes modern technologies also. We had an AI lab that helped us to try our hands-on robotics. Exams were not that frequent. Everyone gets time to study or do their favorite things.

The placement scenario is quite bad only a few companies come. Last year companies like ONGC, GO SPEEDY GO, OIL came and BCPL conducted interviews and invited us to where I got selected. BCPL provides a stipend of 50000 during the training period.

So we celebrate AUXESIS which is our techno-cultural fest. It is 3rd largest college fest in the entire northeast. Many bands like Raeth, Nalaayak, The local train, etc performed in our fest. Also in the metal band competitions, people come from different districts of Assam and even from Arunachal Pradesh.

The fee structure is feasible if compared with the infrastructure and technology it has. For 1st sem it is 60000 then 50000 then in 3rd sem again 60000 then its 50000 in 4th and 40000 in 5th sem then in 6th and 8th its 40000 and in 7th sem it is 50000.

I got a scholarship named “Ishan Uday” Special Scholarship Scheme. It provides 7800 per month which was enough for me to survive the whole month. There are many caste scholarships also which the university provides.

In our university, we had more females as compared with boys. During march month there are different competitions among students where students can show their talents in any field like sports, drawing, culture, etc.

I lived in a PG called baruah lodge near my institute. I left with a room partner. The monthly charge was 3200 including breakfast and dinner. The rooms were big and clean. The owner used to check the rooms if it is clean or not.

When I was in college My relationship with my seniors was very good. They guided me on how to study and not to worry about marks. Alumni always try to provide placement to the students where they are working.

Through CEE (it's an entrance exam). Basically, I was trying for the medical course but I couldn't crack medical entrance and I cracked CEE (engineering) so I took admission in this college as my brother also studied here.

Almost all the teachers have good knowledge about their respective subjects. All the teachers have done master's degrees and presently most of them are also doing Ph.D. Teachers are always there to help in any situation.
