The dream college

The college management is good. There is cleanliness. The library services are good. The canteen is hygienic. The teachers are good. The student atmosphere is accepting and comforting. No one judges you for your choices.

It is rather simple and good. We get frequent labs in a week for different subjects. With labs and classes the same day, sometimes it becomes hectic but is quite manageable. In my course, I have thouree core subjects and syllabus is pretty much knowledgeable.

The placements and job opportunities are quite good. We have a placement cell in our college which helps students during the placements. Well known companies like BCG, Deloitte consulting, Ernst and Young, Teach for India are a few companies that come every year for the placements. Our college also have an internship cell. An annual internship fair is organised in the college as well. There is a portal for the students from which the students of Hansraj can apply for the internships thouroughout the year. Some are work from home, some are full time or part time. The stipend varies from one internship to another.

Every volunteers society, ECA society, sports society and departmental societies of our college have different events thouroughout the year. The Computer Science department have a series of technical based events during the fest season. The fine arts society, music society and dance society have their competitions. NSS does all the volunteering events thouroughout the year. The commerce and economics departments have their stock based events. We have our annual cultural fest Confluence, in which there is band night, Sufi night, etc.

The fees is quite feasible. It's affordable and it's taken once a year. The fees structure is different of each course. It is paid thourough online mode. Fee concession is also given to the needy students.

I don't have any knowledge regarding this. Although I know about a fee concession policy for the reserved classes. There is a separate scholarship window. Best thouree performing students of each class get awards.

The extracurricular activities at Hansraj are very vast and vivid. There are more than 30 societies in our college, each of which are functioning good. There are thouree nationally recognised societies- NSS, Spicmacay and NCC. Then there are worldwide recognised Enactus and GirlUp. Boys and girls are in equal ratios in all the societies. Each student is given a fair chance of proving themselves, regardless of their caste, colour or sex. Their is a friendly atmosphere among the societies and everyone accepts everyone.

I haven't interacted with any of the previous alumni. They're big names in Hansraj College like Shah Rukh Khan, Ranvijya Singh, etc. But with my seniors, my interactions have been pretty good. They're helpful. We sometimes enjoy together, especially during the fest season.

I secured 94% in my 12th class. I got admission in Hansraj in the 3rd cutoff list. The admission process was rather simple. Had to bring the original as well as photocopied documents. They got verified and got a confirmation link along with the fees payment link on the admission portal. I wanted to pursue science. This was the best option to go along with my coachings.

The faculty of Hansraj College is excellent. They are highly qualified and professional. They are quite dedicated towards their jobs and never hesitate to help the students even out of the class. We can always ask them questions out of our syllabi. There is a mentorship class once a year to help students for further assistance.
