Course curriculum is pretty good. They provide us with proper labs for every subject once a week and they make us understand the subject quite well. Yes the exams and labs leave us with a hectic day at times as there are times we have 2 lab evaluations and some quizzes the same day.

According to me, placements at Thapar University are quite good considering if you are not getting computer science here you won't be getting it in any NITs so always choose Thapar if money is not a constraint and if it chooses some NIT you are getting and save money for your Masters because ultimately you have to do it. For non-core, we have companies like JP Morgan Chase, Deloitte, ZS Consulting, Futures First, Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC, etc to name a few which offer lucrative packages to the students starting from 8lpa going up till 15lpa. Companies having packages above 15lpa are mainly Microsoft, De Shaw, Walmart, Works Experience, Proptiger, Myntra, Hikari Tsushin etc.

My tuition fee for the current year is 6000 US dollars and Hostel Fee is 2000 US dollars. Additional expenses are the mess fee which we have to pay (around 15, 000Rs every 6 months), travelling back home (around Rs. 6000 per month, may vary on your mode of transportation and how frequently you’ll go home), fancy meals ( between Rs. 3000–6000/month), travelling plans with friends ( optional)( around Rs. 2000/month) and daily expenses ( between Rs. 0–150). Miscellaneous-Rs. 5000 per semester (approx).

Initially, you get scholarships based on your board percentage. Further, if you want to gwt scholarships, ypu need tp fulfill 2 criterias- Board percentage should be above 80%. You must be in top 10% of your stream.

Only thing good thing remaining about Thapar is extra curricular. specially sports facilities. you will it see any better grounds in any college. Also the other things like drama dance singing you will have a good time.

It is pretty good. In the first year itself, we are appointed with mentors as teachers, as well as seniors and they, help us all thourough. We can ask them for notes and sites. They also provide us with a site we can access for all the questions papers, quizzes, notes, etc.

I am an NRI residing in KSA. I had to fill an online form made for NRI/Gulf people then after a month of form approved, we are sent an admission letter and if we fulfill the criteria in that letter we get the admission approved and during the orientations we pay our fees and get the admission.
