Very Good Faculty Members

Overall the college is really good. The courses that they offer and faculties are a real postive point for this college. But to me political student union is negative point in the college. Fees can eaily be beared.

Course curriculum is decided by University of Calcutta. Hence, college has no take on that. Exams are held yearly at my times. Nowadays it is held in semester basis(half yearly). The candidate need to sit out of the campus for examination.

Placement oppotunities are average. In my time, 4 companies came for placement. TCS, Wipro, ICICI Prudential and ICICI Bank. Grooming sessions were held by TCS as a certificate 2day course before the placements.

There is a Students Union in the college which celebrates an Annual Social meet where they try to bring celebrities, Picnic and Saraswati Puja in a year. Annual Sports, foundation day is celebrated by the college authorities.

Fees is Feasible as it is aided by the Government of West Bengal. A lumpsum admission fees is taken for the whole year (less than 6000) and examination fees are taken in a year. Overall it can be beared by a normal household.

I am not aware of such information and I have not received any such loans or scholarship. In this college, one does not require to take a loan as it is very feasible. It is a Goverment aided college hence, scholarship part is included there.

There are approximately a 1:1 gender ratio. College offers seminars and workshops with select batch of students who are interested in it. There is a small playground where cricket is played. There is a small IT lab in the college which offers vocational trainings.

Seniors are helpful. They are a part of the Student Union and they ease the process at the time of admission. The student union is backed by political parties which as per my opinion should not be a part at any students life.

They make a merit list based on the 12th Standard marks that is obtained. Then if there are vacancies after the 1st list, then they announce 2nd, 3rd and so on. Then after documentation of the reports and certificates, the candidate is admitted.

Faculty is very qualified over here. But classes are irregular. However, attendance is a big factor to appear in the exams. Projects are properly guided by faculties. But a attentive student can gain detailed knowledge.
