Entrance Preview
There was a special entrance exam for this program at Ferguson. I was one of the 24 selected candidates out of 400-500 that appeared for the entrance exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
Wide variety of subject based of knowledge gained during BSc Biotech. But there were some repetitions, but that's decided by the university. There could be added options to choose tracks towards a more specific side.
Internships Opportunities
That is something Ferguson could work on or for that matter all Biotech colleges in pune could work on. We had none of these opportunities. Pretty vital for the successful kickstart of a career.
College Events
Departmental as well as college level cultural events are a treat during December/January period. Chimera is the biotechnology departments own festival. These events also attract a lot of students from all over pune.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Not over the top expensive but still in the high half as far as fees are concerned. Back in 2010 when I started it was around 67000 rs. Fees for Biotech are in that range as far as I knew.
Campus Life
Love the campus, one of the best in pune according to me. Extracurriculars depends on the student (need a little push) labs in Biotechare okay, there could be more first hand research happening though.
Alumni/Alumna
No good network available pretty much students and teacher's will if they wish to be in contact. But there is good integration between all the students in the department, so that's kinda nice.
Exam Structure
Semester exams with 80% dedicated to university conducted exam and 20 based on internal performance in the college.
Faculty
Faculty was well qualified for the job. They were also very helpful and friendly towards students. They could may be add full time research faculty to promote cutting edge research.
