Students Review of GNIT and all the Unique experiences of College life

While the college management is quite good, there is always rooms for improvements. The quality of food available in the hostel must be improved more. While the labs are well equipped with more modern equipment for advance research is needed.

The Course Curriculum all the departments is quite simplified. All the necessary steps and knowledge about the schedule and curriculum is provided at the beginning of the semester and also available online on the college website. The curriculum each semester is updated in the relevance of what the current trend in Industry.

GNIT boasts of good Placement and Internship statistical numbers with most companies from IT sector with some from other sectors too. Big Companies like Genpac, Itc Solutions, MindTree, Bijou, ITC Pvt.Ltd, Accenture, Ganesh, AAI, Keventer etc conducts On Campus placement for students of 4th Year. While majority of Students are placed, Some students chooses to pursue higher education. The college has arranged special seminars and classes to groom students for the interview.

GNIT in a similar way to other colleges in India, holds many exciting events for the students from both our own college as well as students from other colleges too. 2 of the biggest events conducted by GNIT is "Zizzyva+Euphonious", The Cultural fest which happens for 2 days featuring many well-known Bands and "Tessaract".

The fee structure is quite feasible for anyone. My course which is B.Tech in Food Technology which is offered for a duration of 4 years has a fee of Rs 450000 with the sum being broken for each semester. Hostel fee is additional if anyone wants to avail hostel. For the payment of the broken sum, link for the online payment is given in the college website to access his/her own profile and pay the sum required.

While the college does offer a scholarship for students from the economically weak background, it also has contacts with SBI (they have a branch at the campus) from where all the students can avail an education loan. A lot of banks provides education loan to study in GNIT. I have myself availed Education Loan from the Indian Bank.

GNIT boasts of eventful campus life. The campus of GNIT is a place where students irrespective of caste, creed, gender or sexual orientation, Political stance, Economical status mix together, discuss on different topics ranging from Sports to Current Affairs. GNIT is a college which has shown a tolerance for students from every community.

GNIT boasts of a booming alumni network with Alumni meet an annual affair in which current students gets to meet older, Pass-out Students. The junior students share a very good rapport with their departmental seniors and engage in lots of activities together.

Food Technology as a subject is quite intriguing to me from the beginning. We get a basic knowledge of Food from Hotel Management but we do not know How the production of food products from raw materials happens and what are the other parameters which is necessary for Food Production. This curiosity to know more about Food production and formation led me to opt for this course.

The faculty of GNIT are highly experienced professionals. The faculty is robust and holds expertise in their own domain. While all the faculty is young in age, everyone holds multiple degrees and the majority are PhD Scholers. Many have previously served in the Industry and carries a lot of Industry relevent knowledge. The principal of GNIT is a well learned professor and holds a variety of experience in the Industry.
