Remarks
The good remark is this is the better college in Kerala that provide better placements for students in IT. And bad remark is there is no ground so there are no opportunities for students those who are interested in sports activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
In this college, they provide more opportunities to IT students. There is a better placement cell. And they trained continuously for the placements. The course is a 4-year degree. But I have secured admission in the 3rd semester through the let exam. So I need to complete 3 years only. There are a total of 8 semesters for a BTech student. After each sem, the corresponding semester's exam will be arranged. And results published in the next semester. The exams conducted under the kalam technical university.
Placement Experience
QBurst and TCS are the most common companies they select students from my college. Usually the placements for final-year students. The companies first take an aptitude test for all students (those who are eligible for their criteria). Then usually they take a group discussion or technical interview for selected students from the aptitude test. Then finally select few students through their hour interview.
College Events
Aagneya- our college tech fest, this is the biggest fest in our college, and aagneya is done with the coordination of each and every student in our college. Sargam- college arts fest, I participate in table and pencil drawing competition in this. Workshops under IEEE, ISTC such clubs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
When I take my admission I paid a total of 24000 rs. Which includes ktu exam fees, tution fee, union fee, PTA fees, and bus and hostel development fees. After my admission except for the hostel fee per month, there is no need to pay any other fees to my college. The mode of transferring money to college is hand on delivery.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarship E-grants for students having income less than 1 lakh. This scholarship is provided most commonly for the students in my college.
Campus Life
The campus life is super. The college campus is too small. And here only have 5 branches for BTech so we have more unity in our college. Each fest is done with the better coordination of each and every student and also great support from the college student union. The female and male ratio is equal. There are more technical clubs such as IEEE, DCS, ISTC, TBI, IEDC etc. And cultural clubs such as dance club music club, literary club etc. We have also a better NSS unit (unit no120) under the technical university. There are mainly 2 political parties ksu and sfi. Now the college union under the sfi unit. In sports, college is inactive because there is no ground in my college. So there is less opportunity for students in sports.
Hostel Facilities
I m a hosteler. I m comfortable with my hostel. There are 2 types of rooms one type of room for sharing 8 students and the other one is for sharing 4 students. The facilities are comfortable. For each month we have hostel fees between 2500 and 3500.
Alumni/Alumna
They are more helpful to us. In my branch, there is just like a club all senior students and aluminous are provided a better direction to the placements and projects.
Admission
I m interested to do programming. So I choose Computer Science for my plus two and polytechnic studies. After completing polytechnic I wrote Kerala lateral entry exam 2019. And secured 83 branch rank. And I got the seat in govt engineering college barton hill Thiruvananthapuram in the second allotment. I take my admission on 1st august 2019 with admission number 7821. The admission process includes submitting the necessary documents and payment of the fee.
Faculty
I'm joined to govt engineering college barton hill Thiruvananthapuram thorough Kerala lateral entry examination 2019.l got branch wise rank 83 and got the admission for engineering in information technology. I take my admission on 1 st august 2019. Now I am completed only one semester. Now pursuing the 4th semester.
