College Review

Right now the only college in Pimpri Chinchwad to have such disciplined hierarchy. If you're thinking about getting into this college, you're arguably making the best decision.

Currently, my college is under the guidance of Pune University so it's safe to say that it's in good hands and whatever I learnt there was top notch. Arguably, the best Engineering college in entire Pimpri-Chinchwad and in close contention with MIT, VIT and COEP in entire Pune. It's very particular about attendance, just like your school days. So parents are least worried about their child's whereabouts when he/she leaves home for college.

Most reputed placement segment in entire Pune. Almost 80% of the students get placed every year. Top names like Mahindra, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, Mercedes Benz, Kirloskar, etc. Institute has constantly kept students in touch with the Aptitude sessions. It's part of the regular timetable for second and third year.

There's departmental level competitions for both technical and non technical aspects. Cultural days are eminent here. There's a cultural annual gathering as well. The cultural gathering is for two days as the response is overwhelming. Apart from the college level gatherings, there's also a job fair.

The program fee me was around 3.6 lakhs for the entire duration of 4 year course. Various modes of payments are made available like Credit, Debit cards, installments, Cheques and DDs, internet banking. They do have a certain number of management seats wherein they accept donations for the enrollment of students. The fees breakdown is quite sensible.

There are various scholarships for various sections of eligibilities and categories. These scholarships are granted by the Maharashtra Government and not college itself. The criteria being being a person of specific minority or differently abled or of certain castes and categories. The procedure to apply for these scholarships is decided during your admission process. After that you just have to fill an online form for obtaining the scholarship for that particular year.

The campus is huge here. With a cafe and a canteen with reasonable prices for food items. Two grounds for sports with one being a lawn and other of mud. The labs are very well equipped and we often had students from other colleges visiting our labs for the sake of performing certain practicals. The gender ratio varies department wise but overall it's 1:1. I personally haven't came across or heard about any instances where the dispute was on the topic of race, religion, sexual orientation, politics. Every student has it's own space and is independent to express himself.

I don't have a personal experience of hostel as I live in the locality but from what I've seen and heard the hostel seems to be pretty decent. There are two candidates in each room. The hostel facility is quite huge so there's no such limitations there. The food provided is of utmost quality and the hygiene standards are immense.

Very technical sound faculties have been a part of this institution for many many years now. The nature of every faculty is of helping students prosper in every possible way. I think the huge credit goes to the principal of this institute.

Thourough CAP rounds. During my admission process, there was 50% weightage to JEE-Mains score and 50% to the 12th percentage. After you get your JEE score, you've to fill an online form as per your choice of colleges and according to your merit you'll be assigned the colleges in the sequence of you mentioning your preferred college.

Majority of the faculties there are Doctorates. For my course(Mechanical Engineering) there are about 30 lecturers. Out of them 15 being Doctorates. Some of the faculties have had a previous record of working for industries. Although, most of them are into teaching from very start of their careers. Avg age being 35.
