Remarks

The college is very good. The management is also good. But there were many small issues, which had to be solved, changed, modified to make this college one of the best college in the country or in the world.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course curriculum is very useful, especially the course that is provided in the 2nd year or above is very useful. The course in 1st year is same for all branches. The theories we learn in the course is very useful as well as the practicals we do in our labs are very essential these days. From 1st year we have visited CTTC Bhubaneswar only.

Placement Experience

3

There are many companies like Maruti Suzuki, Godrej comes to our college. Many companies conduct a written test and also they provide a minimum CGPA. The students must scored a average greater than the minimum CGPA to sit in the written exam. Then they conduct the PI(personal interview) of selected students from the test. There are Training and Placement cells in college to prepare and to make aware the students about the placement. As per AICTE rule there must be 3 internship programs for students to take part in the placement. So the students go for internship in summer and Autumn holidays. Around 70% students are placed from our campus.

College Events

4.5

There were many events, which is the beauty of the college. Last February we had a technical fest which is very useful and enjoyable for the students. The participation in technical fest is very large, I took part in a event Called Automotive hunt and secured 3rd rank in it. Also Engineers cup is the inter college sports event which is organized in the last of February. Also the cultural fest is very enjoyable which happened in March. Bollywood singer Gajendra Verma had a show in the cultural fest. I conducted a event in the cultural fest named as IPL Auction, there were around 25 teams consisting of 100 students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for each year is 37000 around which is feasible in these days. The payment is done online and a receipt of the online payment slip is submitted in the college. The college provide the transparency in fee breakdown but the fees are utilised in that area are unknown to us.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides a merit based scholarship for the top ranked students in the previous semester. The procedure is simple just you have to apply for the scholarship with the prove of your marksheet of desired semester. An of around 10 lakhs are provided per a batch.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is very clean, green. In the city of Bhubaneswar No, other college had a better and soothing environment than our college. As a engineering college the male to female ratio is around 100:70. The extra curricular activities are excellent. The football, Basketball, Cricket and Badminton teams and players are of very well standard. There were quotas of gender and caste but there is no quota for politic and economic status. The robotics clubs are also very good and also the cultural societies. There were other extra curricular activities like debates, speech which is very useful.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel is very good for 2nd year and above. The 1st year hostel is not so good. The hostel room is for 3 people. Also the hostels are for few students. They are chosen on the basis of JEE rank and CGPA in college. The food provided in the hostel is very nice and healthy. There were many problems like broken tiles, taps, windows. Also the whole hostel is given WiFi. The data speed is very low sometimes in the WiFi and also very fast sometimes. The overall condition of the hostel is very good.

Alumni/Alumna

The interaction with the seniors in the college is very good. In all the events in the college we unite as the strength of the college and make the event successful. The Alumni of the college has a great impact, last year the damaged caused by the cyclone Fani is reconstructed very fast only due to some of the Alumni of the college.

Admission

I'm very interested in Engineering, for that I have dropped for one year. The process of admission is very simple. The selection will be based on the rank you got in the Joint Entrance Examination(JEE). There is a counseling as OJEE counseling for all state government B. tech and other courses. There you have to fill your choices according to your priorities. There will be 3 round of selection, but you have to pay in the 1st round. The college you get in the 1st round may vary or may not be. So get a good all India rank in JEE and get admitted in this college.

Faculty

2

The faculties are very talented and smart. The ages consist a wide range from around 25 to 55. They are very good in clarifying the doubts. The lectures have a great knowledge and experience in labs. But being a government employee the faculties are irresponsible and do as their wish. Only some of them are very sincere for them and thinks about the future of students.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
