Remarks
The college life I lived was pretty amazing, I was in almost all college groups and activities and enjoyed my time there.
Course Curriculum Overview
The exams are pretty straightforward from the syllabus provided by the Mumbai University, the required notes are asked to be purchased by us from the teachers and we have to learn from it and attend exams. The exams are 100 marks and the questions are directly from the text book.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell in the college which helps train students for interviews and achieve their goals. They shape students into people who are smart and attractive and whom interviewers will like in the first round itself. The Cell boosts your confidence into signing up for on campus interviews and landing jobs.
College Events
There are many events celebrated in Jaihind, every department has their own event which is open for all students. The Junior College have their event, the Bcom department has their, Baf, bfm, bbi have one event and bms have another event. Even the college gymkhana has 2/3 events year round. I was in the organization of Jaihind Advertising Festival which was for bcom students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is pretty feasible for the aided courses, compared to other colleges even the unaided courses are not too expensive. Junior college fees was between 1000 and 2000. Bcom fees was between 3000 and 6000 and the unaided courses baf bfm bbi bms are between 20000 to 25000. All the above fees are yearly.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan as the fees are pretty low and can be afforded by most of the population.
Campus Life
Campus life was pretty amazing, great place to sit, eat, hangout, play music and dance with friends at. The gender ratio is 1.5 girls for every 1 guy I think cause I mostly spotted girls everywhere I looked. Diversity was there but I never looked more into it. There is a computer lab, 2 chemistry labs and a gymkhana which has competitions. Our college participates in other colleges events such as Malhar for Xaviers, Umang of NMIMS
Hostel Facilities
No, there are no hostel facilities provided by Jaihind College but nearby only there are many hostels which students can opt to for staying at. The hostels are managed by 3rd party companies and have their own management and set of rules.
Alumni/Alumna
There are Facebook Groups, Instagram Pages and they alumni are pretty helpful, almost every single one connected with me on linked in and a few even reached out to see if our job profiles matched.
Admission
I applied after 12th and I came in the first merit list as I was an in house student and was eligible for sindhi quota. The process is simple, you have to fill an online form and pay the fee for the form, check the list online, go to college with required documents and pay the fees via DD or card and the admission is done.
Faculty
The college faculty is good. They have experienced teachers and outside faculty too for some subjects. They are well versed, spoken, and intelligent both in their subjects and in life skills. I understood everything they offered in lectures from notes to lessons.
