Entrance Preview

Engineering CET, I scored 73% in examination and as per my qualification I got admission in Mithibai College as computer science as a degree course has a good scope.

Internships Opportunities

All students got placed and stipend offered is apprx 15000 rs. College faculty even assisted all the candidates before the campus placements and proper training provided to get selected .

College Events

Kshitij annual event organised every year in college with different themes every year. In which all the students participate willingly and provide good experience which helps in building overall growth .

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship availed by me but college had provided loan facilities and even scholarship. Schemes for deserving students to encourage them in undergoing the training programme.

Campus Life

Campus life and extra curricular activities helped in building the growth of candidates. There were many sports activities and tournament organised at regular intervals and debates were organised as well to increase communication of all the candidates .

Faculty

Faculty were very helpful and cooperative And always attended the doubts and cleared them efficiently. Regular training and exams and extra lectures conducted if there is any doubt.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

from 6th semester students are eligible for placement. multiple MNCs come for placements like deloitte, berger, reliance, ernst and young, etc. highest packasge is around 9 lakhs pa and median package is about 3.5 lakhs pa. maximum students who sit for placement gets placed. i will be pursuing masters degree after my bachleors.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

Mithibai has great placement opportunity as there are big companies that comes for campus placement like KPMG, DELOITTE, JP MORGAN and EY. So it can give great start to students in corporate world. This is one of the reasons I chose mithibai over other colleges. Also there are so many clubs that I can be a part of to form connections, gather ideas and build leadership skills. I also applied to NMIMS, DU and I got admission there. Reason for not choosing was simple that the opportunities for me were more at Mithibai than any other college and it was a great decision overall. As I had done FYJC and SYJC from Mithibai college only so I had enrolled in the same college for Bachelor of Commerce course . I had thought for applying in other colleges but no college in Mumbai was providing good infrastructure and facilities at low fees that time.
