No Entrance required. It follows the HSC marks and the cut off list policy after all the forms are collected and organised based upon the marks scored by the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

Very good course for a person looking for a field in software development. It covered almost all programming languages available at that time from C to C++, Java, advance Java, VB, .NET, HTML, CSS, Java script.

Internships Opportunities

We didn't have any internship options at that time. But the project work encouraged students to work with small companies at their own and get to solve real life problems and provide solutions for the same.

Placement Experience

We had quite a few companies for campus placements like Patni Computers (Now IGate), Wipro, TechMahindra etc.. who hired many graduates from computer science as well as other streams of B.Sc.

College Events

We had annual college festival named Visions which is celebrated in the month of December. Apart from this we used to have departmental festivals as well. For Computer Science we had started Ziegers, which had competition for Developers and Innovative thinkers apart from others.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not sure of the scholarship or loan facility available. But there must be something to help deserving students.

Campus Life

The campus life is fun. There is a good mix of students from all parts of the society. The gender ratio is also pretty much close to 50:50. Since the campus is located in the heart of the residential area, its very peaceful and soothing for a student life.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very good and there are many known personalities who have made it big in arts, culture, sports and defense field. The alumni network is an active participant of the college events.

Exam Structure

We had Semester pattern of exams for first two years and the third year had the Annual University level exam .Which is conducted by Mumbai University along with the collaboration of all the affiliated colleges.

Faculty of the Computer science department was very student friendly and used to help us all the time, even during vacations. They made sure that we had college laboratory facility to us. This helped students who didn't have computers at home to brush up their programming skills further.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

Other from SIES, I applied for the same course in Ruia college and Somaiya college. I got confirmed admission form from Somaiya college but i didn't opt for it as the fees are too high compared to SIES college. I didn't get admission in ruia college because their cutoff was high. I was eligible to get admission as my total marks in HSC board exam was 418 and the cutoff was 420 so I visited my college and had a talk with the faculty member, the faculty members guided me well and told me to bring HSC mark sheet, and fees (DD form) that's it....Read More

I've applied for VES college, chembur and pillai college, panvel and I got addmission but because of their fests and other programs I denied that college. I didn't get rejected from their but I really don't want to participate in any college fests or programs over my studies. Online registration and then filling college form was my admission process.
