Course Curriculum Overview

Civil engineering at PKCET has a very good course structure and focuses a lot on research work. The course follows the duration of 4 years. The syllabus is updated as per the changes made and the evolution in technology. The days at the institution is generally very hectic and exams too are very tiring.

Placement Experience

PKCET focuses at Value based higher education. There is the department of placement. the college provides with great opportunities to its students. There are internships for the students to grow. They also provide with jobs and placements for their students. Many firms come and recruit the students. Many students take part in the placement programme and enhance their skills.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of PKCET for Civil engineering is around 1 lakh 40 thousand in total which is quite feasible as per the needs and demand of the course in the growing industry. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that the fees is affordable as per the education and facilities provided by the institution.

Campus Life

PKCET excels in its extracurricular activities. They enrich their students and focuses on overall development of the students. They have various sports activities like football, basketball and so on. They also organize cultural functions like fest and fates in which many other institutions take part and students get abundant exposure. This also helps in developing competitive spirit among the students.

Admission

B.TECH Civil engineering is the course which has the duration of 4 years. To get admission at PKCET which is one of the very good institutions providing the course, you are supposed to have passed your class 12 with at least 50 % marks. The students need to appear for the entrance exam KEAM and based on their merit in the exam, they will be called for the admission and the student will have to provide with necessary documentation.

Faculty

The faculty of the PKCET is appointed with the focus in quality education of students. They are well qualified and trained with a great experience. They have good command over their respective subjects. They also encourage students in every possible way and help them when they need.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
