Great College For Food Technology In West Bengal

No hard words except a few little things which are solvable.

The course includes some basic subjects in the first year for Engineering students. That will include physics, chemistry, knowledge of mechanics, the math of course and computer also. I think revision of the things we have already studied a bit in 12th, really keeps us on track. The exam structure is good. At least I did not have to face any problem and besides that, we are in the autonomous batch.

First of all, we have Myperfectice platform where we can give cognitive tests and improve our levels till we get placed in a company. In this lockdown period, they arranged several tests for us. These tests are for all the streams and very helpful with answers and the process as well. Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, TCS, ITC etc.

We have and had many events at our college. Starting with cultural fest Zyzzva, Euphonius to online events like Felicific. In early February we have our fest followed but Hackathon and technical fests as well. Besides we have ACM ICPC who make our college venue for their hackathon and machine learning events. Freshers welcome event to bidding them farewell.

The fees are like moderate. For a private college, I think this is affordable when you are availing some unique course. Fees are like 42500-47000 in each semester, starting from 1st semester to 8th semester(variable). They used to accept demand draft for payment and now it is online. I think the demand draft will be accepted if face any technical or server issues.

Yes, the college has such offers but I am not so sure of it. I have seen students in need apply for scholarships. They need to have good points, approximately, above 8.5.

There is no difference between the two genders except the gym. I would say, keep some time for girls as well even if they do not arrive. I tried to set our time up but did not go well. Parties, yes we have that in our hostel including Saraswati puja, birthdays, hostel farewells. We have anti-ragging college and campus so students have to very aware of the strict consequences.

The rooms are pretty and have space but I just do not like the food facilities. Even if we can have our lunch well, I am having a reduction of at least 1500 INR per month to have homemade food from outside. Breakfast is okay but the dinner is not acceptable by most of us. Warden is helpful and so the guards, cannot complain and we have enough freedom if we behave ourselves.

We then and now have alumni meet with the passed out students who are placed in renowned companies. Seniors are very friendly and helpful, I have to admit.

I took admission on 7th June 2017 and I always wanted to do something rather than Technical Engineering. When I heard that this college have a good reputation and after checking hundreds of reviews I decided to go for a unique subject, which has technical subjects but the core subjects are always interesting. I looked at the factors like college fees and location of the college.

We have got classes from our HOD too. She is an amazing teacher. Our faculty members are really helpful when we are in need. We have two mentors in each year and they are always supportive when we face any challenge or have a problem regarding our vocational training. They generally give us the opportunity to have industrial training that we lack to do by our own contacts.
