Best College For Food Technology & other courses

Washrooms are not too much clean, especially the toilet areas. & what I feel best in our college is the stock of books in the library.

The college is under the JIS group. This college is an autonomous college and conducts its exam under JIS group of colleges, & the curriculum is new and designed as per industry standards in every semester. As it is an autonomous college, its curriculum is different from WBUT colleges.

70% of the students are placed in previous years in my course. The highest package offered is 4LPA & the lowest is 1LPA. Top recruiting companies including ITC Ltd., Bengal beverages, lots of students got an internship on FSSAI, BRITANIA. Roles offered are Quality analysis & Manufacturing.

Many events celebrated in our college, many competitions, hackathons are celebrated in our college. Even there are organised departmental fest/ composition also like from the last year, our department that is a department of food technology organised a food tech-fest namely Food Envision. Even in this lockdown period, there are also some cultural & tech fests 7 events are organised by our college which is so helpful fo us.

Payments are accepted through mainly in demand drafts. But recently college has started collected the semester fees in online. Yes, here the opportunity to get queue less payment option through this online mode. But there are lots of students or their families who don't have any Debit / Credit card / Net Banking facilities or if they have there are lots of issue by through paying this method. So in this point of view, I feel Demand Draft or offline method is much better.

Yes, College offers us a scholarship & education loans. As I am not opting a scholarship or education loan so that I can't tell much information about it.

Labs are well equipped and every year college organised Smart India Hackathon & lots of competition like sports, race etc. Even our department of food technology organised a food tech-fest namely Food Envision from the last year. Even in this lockdown period, our college held lots of competition like Photography, drawing, music etc. which is so impressive.

Yes, they are soo helpful & even they are organised lots of seminars in this lockdown period which is so impressive.

As a Food technologist, there is the various opportunity in food industry inside West Bengal & outside of West Bengal also. That's why I opt for this course & if you ask why my college? because I feel it is the best college in Kolkata for Food Technology course.

The faculty members are very helpful. They help you in every project and gives you the platform where you can express it. They are very friendly and help you in every way they can. They organise many industrial visits and many seminars to give a clear idea about the industries.
