Entrance Preview

Kerala engineering and medical entrance Rank 568. This college is the most priorly chosen college due to its high placement and aluminium records.

Course Curriculum Overview

Affiliated to the Kerala university the sylabbus is followed. Out of the electives the sylabbus offers, 4 to 5 topics are allowed to be chosen. Some important electives include turbomachinery, 2 and 3 wheeled vehicles, CFD, AFM, nanotechnology, micromachining.

Internships Opportunities

There are no internships that happen in the college except that some get recruited by TI and Goldman .Sachs as interns occasionally Mahindra, LnT construction, LnT powai, Bosch, Siemens, ITC, Mercedes, TI, REDHAT, MUSIGMA, bpcl, ongc, royal Enfield, are some of them.

Placement Experience

Most core companies visit this college in Kerala. Maximum salary of about 20lpa in cs, this campus is even visited by some government organisations like ongc and bpcl who normally recruit through GATE.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is very feasible. Tuition fee around ?6000 per year. Apart from that hostel fees around ?3000pm and exam fees around ?1000per year would add up. Since it is a government college, there is no other hidden fees and donations associated.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
