Entrance Preview
I attempted LET (Lateral Entry Test) and got rank 3 in the entrance. There was no doubt in selecting the college as CET as commonly called is the first Engineering college in Kerala. With lot of Alumin's around the globe, the college has one of the best placement record for the previous students.
Internships Opportunities
I have undergone internship in an Italian based control valve company called MIL limited presently owned by KSB Pumps group. No stipend was offered. Meals and accomdation was provided by the company.
College Events
College has got Technical as well as Cultural Festivals. Dhwani- Cultural Festival, Drishti- Technical Festival, Kalpka-Management Festival. Various departmental programs are also conducted. Freshers Day, Demo Week by Last year students are other favourites which has even caught up with various Medias.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My fee per year was not more than 8000 Rs per year. Peopel with income less than 44000 annually couuld avail Kumarapilla Commission. Fee Waiver and study for free. Students from Sc/St .Category have option of Free accomodation in the Hostel which could house around 900 students at a time.
Fees and Financial Aid
Lot of Scholarship are provided for Needy. There is a good financial support from Aluminis called GEM Scholarship for students with financial difficulties. No other colleges in Kerala have this kind of scholarship scheme and many of my friends has survived by the same and now card holders on giving back to the scheme.
Alumni/Alumna
There is well established Alumni Network available called CETAA. It has regional branches in most countires include US/Cananda/Gulf Countries. This provide students access to various area's for the students .
Exam Structure
Exams are right on time though we had slight delay in Sixth semester. Labs are comfortable, quite friendly evnironment. Most of the labs are done on time as the college Lab was used by various other Government and Private Colleges (Due to Lack of Labs in those colleges).
