The overall atmosphere is quite pleasant and attractive. I feel like teachers in other departments especially those in electrical engineering keep a hostIle approach towards students.
Entrance Preview
I for an admission here through CEE Kerala. Out of 960 I got 690. I got rank of 382. I opted for mechanical engineering. Our college is the one of the top colleges in Kerala. It is the college opted by top students in the entrance examinations and also for many jab opportunists
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted for mechanical engineering in college of engineering. It has been smooth sailing so far. I have watched lots of movies. The curriculum has a lot to study. We are under the Kerala technological university. There have been a couple of problem with the university on the issues such as exam conducting and question paper circulations. But in my opinion it has also more merits than demerits of our previous university Kerala university.
Internships Opportunities
Till now, there are no internship programmes provided by the college. But the university is trying to establish such a system. Our university started in 2016 and we are the first batch.
Placement Experience
Many leading companies and corporations such as Texas instruments and Mercedes Benz take a hand full for placements almost all students can avail placement opportunities.
College Events
Our college hosts various competitions and tech and art fests since years. I participated in various workshops conducted by various clubs in our college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
College fee for tuition is only about 8000 a year. But we is much expenses such as hostel fee food etc. It is an affordable cos and has many scholarships by both government and nongovernment organisations.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college offers scholarships for students having annual income less than 2 lakh for their parents. They offers free fees and free laptop.
Campus Life
Our campus has kind of a positive atmosphere providing equal importance for both curricular and extra curricular activities. We have got an indoor stadium with well equipped courts and a football stadium
Hostel Facilities
The college mess is very good with 200 rupees for room rent with mess facility. They offers both non vegeterian and vegetarian food with an affordable rate of rs2000 per month.
Alumni/Alumna
My experience with seniors is bitter as well as sweet. It is bitter because most of them do not like to talk or keep a friendly relation with us. It is sweet as there are a very few being polite and help with our studies. May be because of ego or superiority, they consider us as less important.
Exam Structure
Semester exams usually held at end of each semester. Exam are conducted in traditional way. There is a booklet of 24 pages are provided for answering for hundred marks.
Faculty
They are qualified professors and doctorates. But some has less teaching skills though. We have both teachers and lab technicians with good experiences in their work. There are some teachers working on rTemporary basis
