This syllabus and orientation of course curriculum is designed with an approach that both the theoretical and applicability part of the subject of Economics are balanced very well. Pattern of examination that is followed is the semester wise pattern of examination. As per this 2 end semester examinations are to be qualified in a year in order to proceed to the next year of study.

Placement wise based on my experience and witnessing my seniors I can say that you have to do efforts on your own to get a good placement. The university nothing much for the distance students in terms of the placement or internship. Though job fairs are organised but they are mostly generalized in nature and getting a desired job profile and package is a matter of luck.

Fee is one of the positive aspect of the university. The minimum amount of fee makes the university affordable for student does making education accessible. For the entire duration of the program the fee that is to be paid is around Rs 12,000. The fee has to be submitted at the start of the academic year that is at the start of each new year of study the fees is required to be submitted.

Scholarships are offered by the state government. one of my colleagues applied for the scholarship offered by the Tamilnadu State Government for students from economically weaker section of the society. Educational loans are also available as I myself enquired for education loan from SBI Bank however since the amount of fee was less I layer opted out of the idea of taking the loan.

Not much is there for a distance learning student in terms of extra-curricular activities or events. However the regional centre organises events like Republic Day and Independence Day each year. Infrastructure of the centre of University where I am studying is sufficient and sound.

I made an application online on the official website of the university. Filled in the detailed application form and then I was required to visit the spot centre of the university for confirmation of my application and admission. After document verification and confirmation of my admission I was required to complete the procedureal formalities like submission of fees etc. Being a popular University this was my first choice when I decided to pursue program from distance mode.

The distance learning centre of the university in my region had well experienced teachers. The teachers have an in-depth knowledge of the domains of Economics like the macroeconomics and microeconomics and their teaching methodology highlights their expertise in their respective domain.
