Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is designed keeping in mind the need of a technical program in the domain of Physics. The University follows a semester wise system of examination for the course. That is a single year comprises of two end semester examinations and in total there are 6 semesters in the entire course duration. Both theoretical and practical examinations are held from time to time and as a part of the end semester examinations as well.

Placement Experience

2.5

In terms of placement I can say that the condition is just ok. University organises job fair however not everyone can get a good or decent package because mostly their are low paying jobs at offer. One can get good placement through own efforts that is through off campus drive. Same goes true with the internship as you have to manage things on your own.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of the university is feasible. For the entire course duration you have to pay around 70 to 80 thousand rupees. The fee has to be submitted at the start of each academic year. The semester wise system of fee submission is not followed in university.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Maharashtra state government offers scholarships to the students who are domicile of the state and are from the reserved categories or from the socially and educationally backward classes of society. Apart from that one can look for educational loans which are offered by almost all the private and public sector bank like the Bank of Maharashtra.

Campus Life

3

The University has various clubs like cultural club, sports club, activity club, social service club etc which organise various events from time to time. Apart from that events like the Republic Day, Independence Day, etc are also celebrated. As on the infrastructure front I can say that the university is good and overall the facilities provided are satisfactory.

Admission

I applied for the common entrance test conducted by the university for admission. After qualifying the common entrance test I got the admission in one of the affiliated college of university. I opted for the university because it is one of the popular government university in the region and is known for offering quality education.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty in our Institute is good. They have good knowledge of their respective subject and have that approach in teaching whereby they push for learning by doing in student. Their funda of teaching is that we the students should learn the application part of any concept or theorem rather than just memorizing it for the purpose of examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
