Remarks
The college has great infrastructure and facilities. The placements of the college are also very good. But the faculty is not very great. The academics are also just average. But the learning atmosphere is good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was above average and has a good inclusion of the major subjects required in the IT industry. The exams and labs were very frequent but not very hectic. It was fine according to the standard of any graduation.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities are very good, especially for the cse and IT branch. A lot of companies come to offer 6-month internships and then jobs. The average stipend given to students is 50000 pm
College Events
Thapar Institute of engineering and technology hosts a cultural fest annually around the month of December. The name of the cultural fest is "saturnalia". A variety of events are organized in the fest. The fest sees the participation of study from different Colleges also.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There is three kinds of seats available. The first one is for the students who attend anna university counseling and get admission to the college, they have very low fees. The second category is where I belong, who gets a seat due to the merit achieved. We pay a moderate amount as fees. And the last category is NRI seats, where they give donations and pay a big amount as fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Thapar Institute of engineering and technology offers several scholarships to the students. The most common is the scholarship offered on the basis of the marks obtained in 12 standards and JEE MAINS.
Campus Life
The college has around 70 societies which a variety of curricular, sports, and technical opportunities. These societies play a major role in the development of the students. The labs of the college are good
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is very good. The seniors are very good and caring. They were very easily approachable. The senior-junior bonding is very good in college. They are very cooperative and understanding.
Admission
The entrance is based on a national exam named JEE MAINS. To clear this exam requires deep knowledge of subjects like physics, chemistry, and maths. The branch is allotted based on the marks obtained in JEE MAINS.
Faculty
Each and every faculty is qualified and has great knowledge about what they teach. Very hard working and supporting staff. They provided print-out notes other than the textbooks. Teachers conducted exams in every first hr and evaluated their performance.
