Great opportunities, great campus.

The negative remark is not about the college. It is about the place where it is situated. Kharagpur can not even called a city. The roads are really bad the place can be called underdeveloped. However the college campus is great and maintained very well.

IITs are among the most prestigious institutes of India. They are very well known globally and also provides the one with diversed oppurtunities. The course content is quite good. One has to go through 2 semester examination in a year and each semester is divided into two sub semesters. Those are known as mid semesters and end semesters. Also quizzes of each subjects are held just before the midsems and endsems.

Placements and job oppurtunities here are the best. Almost IIT kharagpur tops in India in the job oppurtunities and campus placements. The average package depends upon the department. It ranges from 25 lakhs to 8 lakhs. Internships oppurtunities are also very great. Almost all the students here completes at least one internship till the end of their's third year. Many companies offers jobs, google and microsoft also do come.

Kshitij- Kshitij is basically the tech fest of IIT kharagpur. Many students from all over India do come and participate in the various events organised by the fest team with great enthusiasm and joy. Many robowars and events are organised. Also many singers comedians and entertainers gets invited. Spring Fest- Spring fest is basically the cultural fest of IIT kharagpur. Students do participate in various events such as dance competitions, singing, nukkads and many more. The participation from other colleges is very high. This year it was 80000. Many singers, rapppers, comedians and entertainers gets invited.

The fee criteria is quite good, depending upon the financial situation of the student. For student having income less than a lakh, do not have to pay the tuition fees. Only the hostel and mess expenses has to be paid which is around 80k. Students having income less than 5 lakhs gets 67% compensation on the tuition fees and the total comes out to be around 150k. And the student having income greater than 8 lakhs has to pay around 250k annually.

Almost all the sports and labs are well equipped with all the modern technology. Many oppurtunities are available for the talented people out here. Inter IIT sports meet is also held every year. Students do come and participate enthusiastically.

Triple sharing for 2 years then single room is allotted. Rooms are not thar great but they are well maintained. The washrooms are also average ones. But the cleanliness is maintained. Almost every sports can be accesed within the hostel itselves.

Alumni network is quite great. Most of them are always ready to offer you a job. Alumni network is great and one can expect atleast one IIT KGPian in the good companies all over the world. They are always ready to help you out.

Qualifying JEE advanced, depending upon your's rank and cutoff you get the admission. Also there is a minimum percentage cutoff criteria based on your's 12th board examination. It must be above 75% or should be among the top 20% of your's state board. For appearing JEE advanced one must qualify JEE mains.

Faculties teaching here are highly qualified and well trained. The faculties here are really the best one could ask for, they are well educated, qualified. Most of the profeesors teaching here are already an IITians or the student of the top institutes of our country. They have high teaching skills and are highly knowledgeable.
