Remarks

Management should provide freedom to students. They should have extra curricular activities too.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is almost good. Total of 8 semesters. 2 semesters per year. 4 months of class per semester. 3 internal exams per semester. Model exams per semester. Industry wise practice was not there. Labs and projects were there. Totally good in curriculum.

Placement Experience

Placement was not there for mechanical engineering. No mechanical companies came for placement. Placement was just for a sake.

College Events

College is strict with only curriculum and no extra curriculum activities allowed in college. Cultural function will be there once in a year and participants are very less as there is no time for practice and all. They are focussed only on curriculum.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was not feasible.it was high for me. At that time engineering was in high demand. So fees structure was high. Mode of payments are cash, cheque, dd and direct bank transaction or online transactions. Every year special fees are to be paid. Additional fees will also be there.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't get any scholarships or education loan. Scholarships were provided for students having 90% and more in KEAM Exam.

Campus Life

Campus life was waste. No extra curricular activities. College Only focusses on curriculum. No other activities allowed by students. Cultural are there for once a year, which is done by college management. Participation will be very less by students.

Alumni/Alumna

No alumni meet with effectiveness. Students don't have contact with seniors as seniors should not meet and talk with juniors.

Admission

I got admission after KEAM entrance exam. After exam results they announced college list. After that I selected this college for my degree. I got mechanical engineering branch for B.Tech degree. The admission process was good. College at first view was good and beautiful.

Faculty

Faculties are good and experienced. Head of the department is also expert in core subjects. Faculties are very helpful and try to achieve good scores in exams. Lecturers don't hold any relevant industry experience or certifications. Good hierarchy as per qualification.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

The eligibility for the course is a 12th pass (science). The application form will be available in the college. There are no such application fees. The admission process was very simple only photos & school educational certificates are required at the time of admission. A 10000 rs are required to pay for the admission which is refundable after the course completion. I got a great reduction in fees because of the 95% marks in the 12th class....Read More

For a 12th pass student, the eligibility of the course is having 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Lateral entries can be applied from the 3rd semester onwards.
