Remarks

Faculties are good but the management is satisfactory so if the college needs to improve anything 1. Infrastructure 2. Management coordination as they are pain in the head they just behave like any govt. Offices they are never on time ignore the students push their responsibility away never available during time of need Only disciplined while punching for lunch/tea break or closing the reception office Apart from this everything is good can be improved but better than other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is of 4 years and the 1st year is mostly common for all the branches and from 2nd year the students have subjects as per their respective branches over all there are 40 subjects 10 subjects each year there are 2 semesters per year so every semester consists of 5 subjects each The complexity of subjects increases as per the year And every year a student have to make a working project and as per the year the complexity of the project increases It is mandatory for each student to make a working mini project in 3rd year of graduation and a final year project in 4th i.e final year As per 2015 pattern of sppu University For 1&2 year there are internal online exam of 50 marks 25 marks for file and practical and end sem exam of 50 marks per semester From 3rd year onwards there are practical exam of 50 marks and written internal in semester exam of 30 marks and final endsem exam of 70 marks The course of exam is relavent and is based on practical knowledge of student

Placement Experience

3.5

Companies visited till now are LTI, TCS,GOLDMAN SACKS, COGNIZENT, and still coming In the recruitment drive there is a %criteria if you fulfill it then you are eligible for drive In 1st round there is an aptitude test Whoever qualifies it makes to 2nd round i.e technical round and the ones who qualifies it goes for the hr interview Around on an average 50-70% students gets recruited Yes the institute organizes lectures for aptitude and English and dressing sense i.e soft skills how one should appear for an interview so they are taking a lot of effort in that by inviting guest to conduct lectures on such topics and train the students so they don't struck and give there best

College Events

4.5

As far a events are conserned there are 2 events conducted by each department one technical and one non technical every semester and at the end of the year around in January end there is a cultural festival organized by college where all departments work hand in hand called "Jhankar" it is quite big the college is required to book an open auditorium for the cultural fest and its preparation like auditions of various events starts 1 month prior to the festival And almost all keenly participate in it And in departmental festival various students take part and it is open for all and Overall for all festivals students get to learn management from event management to sponsorship every thing is done by the students

Fee Structure And Facilities

As per my personal opinion the fees and scholarship/ privileges should be given as per financial status of student and not by caste system so there is no financial pressure on students as well as on parents the mode of payment accepted by college is by cheque in favor of college principal or by neft or rtgs And yes there is full transparency provided by college when it comes down to breakdown of fees

Fees and Financial Aid

The only scholarship provided are for caste category wise For general category the student will have to pay full fees If they are economically backward EBC By opting for that they will have to pay half tuition fees and the half will. Be paid by the govt For OBC category The students will have to pay half tuition tion fees and the rest will. Be paid by govt. For SC/ST Category the full tuition fees will. Be paid by govt. Other minimal expense will be paid by student As per our pattern the overall fees for general category was Rs 102800/- For EBC it was around Rs 60000/- no criteria required For OBC it was Rs60000/- no criteria required For SC/ST it was Rs 1280/- no criteria required So as such no scholarship is provided by college in fact it is provided by government as per the category

Campus Life

3

Campus life is quite open the gender ratio is 60/40% boys and girls respectively There is quite politics in hostel and students parties and unions are quite dominant here There are quite good number of cultural fests at least one per department and technical events too Clubs like roboclub, baja and astronomy club are present actively. As i said the campus is quite open when it comes to religion caste race sexual orientation All kinds of ideologies are welcomed here unless there is some disruptions caused by or because of them All kinds of students come here from rich to poor to physically abled and live in harmony with each other And as per my experience here everyone here is of helpful nature

Alumni/Alumna

As per my experience I had pretty good time with my seniors along with friendliness they also use to Impart kind of wisdom in a playful mannar from what to do and what not to do From how to study for practicals to how to manage time when submissions were there they helped a lot They were a kind of support system to us they always had our back in academics and in other things too

Admission

After my Jr. College I wanted to go for engineering for graduation and my brother suggested/insisted me MESCOE as he is an alumni As the faculties were good the location was prime accommodation was good as I was from another city so it had hostel next to college itself the way of teaching is different and the main factor was that this is the only college has its astronomy club and I'm all into it To get into this college there are 3 ways one was management quota and other 2ways are through entrance exams JEE or MHT-CET I myself got admission through JEE joint entrance exam

Faculty

4.5

As the college just got accreditation from NBA so it has been mandatory for every faculty to be PhD laurett And it has brought a drastic change ever since the way of teaching completely changed It has become compulsory for. Every student to have attendance above 75% If not he/she would not be able to appear for the endsem exam The faculty of the college pressurize mostly on practical knowledge so that student can grasp the concept easily rather than bookish knowledge So it becomes easy regular attending for student to understand the syllabus The no of lecture each subject is almost 7-8 hrs every week

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
