Course Curriculum Overview

MBBS couse is of 5 and half year duration ( including internship). There is exam in each year conducted by RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, BANGALORE. There is 3 internal assessment exam ( conducted by college)in each year and one final exam ( conducted by university) in every year.

IN MBBS DEGREE THERE IS NO SUCH PLACEMENT. after completion of degree government will issue LICENSE to practice. We can practice in own setup like small clinics or can join some private hospital after submitting documents.

There is annual day in each YEAR ( preferably in NOVEMBER). There is kims premier League for cricket. There is annual sports meet conducted before annual day. There is graduation day in February.There intercollege WHO debate program about health issues in world each year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Merit ( NEET) - feasible Management and NRI - EXPENSIVE There is separate fee structure for MERIT ( VIA NEET), MANAGEMENT AND NRI. FOR merit government will fix the fees of college and they can take some extra fees like lab fees, sports fees etc. For management they take 60 lakh to one crore. Management quota is distributed by college authority ( since this college is for vokkaliga people so vokkaliga students can get this seat). NRI IS through college authorities ( amount is huge ranging from one crore to two crore).any one can get NRI if anybody has such huge amount. If competition exist in NRI quota they will make a BID.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I don't get any scholarship in this college. They distribute scholarship only for vokkaliga students based on their 10 th and 12 th marks card.

Campus Life

Medicine is mostly female dominate as most of girls prefer medicine.sice selection is through all india NEET Exam, there will be students from different states of India including North India and South India. There will be difficulties in language learning for outside Karnataka student.Some batches conduct own parties like send off party. There will be some conference from various department in our college and they offer workshops and research project.This college is for Vokkaligas so we can see "gowdas and reddys" cast students more. Even workers in this college are also vokkaligha cast.Since selection in this Institute is via Neet exam conducted by central government.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. Hostel is good in terms of cleanliness, food, environment. There is separate hostel for boys and girls in same place ( banashankari second stage,bangalore). There is vegetarian and non vegetarian food available. They serve three times a day. In accomodation each room can accomodate 3 students. There is toilet non attached) and washroom ( non attached). Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are helpful. Since student are from different states there will be a groups for student s too. Example Kerala( malayalam), Karnataka( kannada), andhra pradesh( telugu), north India (hindi). If you enter the college you will come to know ur own state seniors. There will be no such ragging (except for initial few days and later they will help us. )

Admission

I got admission in this college through Karnataka CET exam which was conducted before but now admission is via NEET UG exam. There is management and NRI QUOTA TOO. Admission is under control of vokkaligara sangha authorities located in V V PURAM Bangalore. Fees of merit quota is available in college website.

Faculty

In our college faculty r good. Each department has 10 to 15 tutors depending on their experience ( professor, assistant professor, associate professor, senior residents). They conduct PG programmes, research projects. Teaching is via PowerPoint presentation. There is lab teaching in afternoons in respective department where they demonstrate and assist the students.

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

Mbbs course is one of the high respective course. We want to face many struggles during exams. But in future we will become excellenct doctor. Exams are not that much tough, but still passing marks in mbbs course is 40% (cbme curriculum). Last year it was 50% passing marks. The first batch of students is passed out in this year from our college. Now they are doing their house sutgency. Besides they are preparing for their pg studies. Most of the students will opt for higher studies like MS, MD, etc. Our hospital is average with average cases. And specialty hospital construction work is going on.
