Autonoumous Private College at Kolkata

Overall college is good as per different private colleges although it claims the best. If placement opportunities were better then this college would have much better. Also technical events are more needed to be organised by the college.

The course curriculum is distributed uniformly in 4 years. As the college is autonomous registered under MAKAUT, the course syllabus and exams are very nicely designed by the university. The courses are updated to AICTE standard.

Placements and job opportunities of the college is average. Mainly IT companies visit the campus. The sole favorite company of the college is TCS. Other companies like Infosys, Wipro etc enumorous ITs visit. Very poor core job opportunities. Very bad internship offers only sales placements are offered except ITs.

The college has very poor cultural nack. Previously there used to be a Students Council which is vague. No freshers no Cultural Fest. Tech fest happened last 2 years ago. Overall very poor in organising fest below standard.

Fee structure is Rs 45000 approx per semester. Previously it followed wbjee fee structure. Now with autonomous structure it hiked its fee for no reason. No betterment of faculty or any other facility. The college is degrading its standard day by day. Fee is stiil okay.

It has freeship seats tuition fee waver seats upto 5% of overall seats. Apart from tfw seats the college reserves to provide concession to economically weaker students. It gives preference based on merit. Different bank loans are also applicable for education.

It has all the labs for core and no core departments. Atleast it has the facilities for different sporting events. Labs are quite equipped with modern standards. All labs are as per AICTE requirement.

Previous aluminis and students have huge base. They support for the juniors. Some are very well known. Some work at NTPC but all the achievements are more of personal basis. They are helpful to cater learning among juniors.

WBJEE Entrance Exam. After 10+2 level one has to appear for WBJEE and secure a good rank within 5000 for core and popular branches. For CSE branch Wbjee rank of nearly 4000 is accepted. As I was an electrical student admission rank upto 7000 is accepted.

Faculties are mixed. Some are very good some are average. As it is an autonomous college it is important to maintain good relation with the teachers. Some inspire a lot to do good in competitive exams like GATE. Overall average faculty.
