Remarks

Bharati Vidyapeeth is an incredible college in all terms, I feel like It needs better students and College needs to do more publicity and should be more famous that it is.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

We have 5 month long semesters and 2 Mid Sems,1 Sem exam every Semester, There's not much research but Entrepreneurship is promoted a lot in the college. We have 8 assignments, 8 Practicals per subject, per Semester. College provides Online Resources and Training Programs once every semester. Although, I feel like we need more of them.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are one of the best in India, Over 130 companies visit our College with Minimum Package offered being 3.4 lacs. There is a Placement Club and Entrepreneurship Club, they wok on behalf of College to provide Placement and Internships, while also helping students start their own startups. There are some mock Placement Drives held before the actual placement to prepare students for Placement. 45 day Internships are offered by the College.

College Events

5

Bharatiyam - this is the Annual College fest. It goes on for 2 days during the Month of March, with attendance of 1000+ is the biggest College Festival organised. Esummit - It is again one of the biggest festivals organised by Entrepreneurship Development Club of the College. It is a 2 day event with various Business Hackathons, Startup Activities, Pitching, Workshops and seminars.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College Fee structure is fairly affordable for Students. Fee is 120,000? Annually for Indian Students while around 280,000? for foreign Students in Engineering Programs. There are no additional fees, but there is management quota which can be used to get admissions without any Entrance Test. College's Fee Structure is fairly transparent. College accepts Online and Offline Payments.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a lot of scholarships provided by the College according to various categories but I haven't availed any of the Scholarships.

Campus Life

5

Our College is in University Campus at Katraj which is a Suburban Area in Pune, It has 20+ other colleges of various Niches in the Campus, Sports are not popular among students but there are tournaments that go one regularly. Students participate in various Events, Workshops,Parties organised around the campus, participation of students is high in extracurriculars but not many events are organised. Campus and college is culturally, religiously, Ethically balanced. Gender Ratio is around 2:1.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I haven't opted for Hostels but the hostel fee is 100,000? annually and only occupies First year Students. The food there is bad and most of the students stay outside the college hostel, there are lot of Residential Apartments & hostels nearby and they are quite affordable ( around 30000? annually)

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is incredibly helpful and generous.Whole Alumni Network is incredibly active in society, doing charity on regular basis. They are also active on social media and promote the talents and achievements of College students.

Admission

I took admission through their Entrance Exam BVPCET, held in month of June Bharati Vidyapeeth is one of the oldest and best Colleges in The State and it provides excellent Placements. Interest in Computer Science and good location were factors that brought me to this college.

Faculty

3.5

Overall Faculty is good, but some faculty staffs are lazy, some are very good. Average Age of faculty would be around 50-55. Minimum Qualification is to have MSC or Higher to be a Junior/ Assistant Professor. And One must have a PHD or equivalent to be a Professor. Some teachers have also been Industry Employees and have left the Corporate to teach. Majority of the teachers are hard working and knowledgeable, but some are just annoying and ignorant.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
