Remarks

Based on infrastructure it is below expectations but that doesn't matter when you are in the college. College has a really good culture for coding and other activities and lot of good seniors to guide you. In the end placement are really nice in the college for CE IT branches and you will never regret if you have done hardwork to get into those companies. You will get a lot of opportunities in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is somewhat similar to other engineering colleges. First year is common for all branches and further there are branch specific subjects. We have semester exams and along with that we have two sessional exams in between the semester. Their combined score is used for final evaluation of sgpa in ratio of 75% for semester exams 15% from sessionals and 10% based on class assessments. Best part about curriculum is 6 months internship program for btech students which is in 7th or 8th semester based on your branch.

Placement Experience

5

Yes college has a very good placement record specifically for CE IT branches. A lot of good companies visits our campus. Some of them are Amazon, Samsung, Adobe, Payu and many more. Placement ratio for CE IT branch is somewhat close to 100%(if you are eligible for placements). Criteria for placement is specific to company but if you have 8+ cgpa without any backlog then you are eligible for almost all of them. College conduct various session related to placement. Even our junior are having personality development classes specifically for placements.

College Events

4.5

We have a annual technical cum cultural festival named CULMYCA. It is a 3 days fest with full of fun almost whole college participate in it and has a overall gathering around 1500. It includes star night, dj night and various other events. Apart from culmyca there are various other events that happened throughout the year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible and annual fee is around 60k for the year and is paid semester wise through the online portal named ymcaonline. Apart from that first semester students need to pay around 10k extra which includes admission fees(non refundable) and some security which are refundable at the end of course.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got one scholarship it was not from college but from organisation named as Siemens. The eligibility criteria for that is 40% + marks in entrance exam(jee mains) and family annual income below 2 lac. After shortlisting based on above factors we have personal interview round and i was selected for the same. The scholarship includes my tution fee and 30000 extra annually for stationary and hostel charges( It is provided based on your performance in various activities which are also included in scholarship program). Another eligibility for continuation of scholarship is no backlogs.

Campus Life

2.5

The infrastructure of campus is not that good and below expectations but college is made by students. The college culture is really good. If you are part of some club/society then you will get interacted with seniors and will enjoy a lot. Sex ratio is around 60% boys 40% girls in my branch and it varies branch to branch. Labs are just average but various clubs organises various events and hence a lot of extra curricular activities are there.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes i was in hostel for two years. The numbers of room are less in hostel so only first year students are now eligible for the hostels. Rooms are just average in my hostel but conditions of some hostel are even worse than that. You are provided gysers in hostel with basic amenities and you are allowed to carry your cooler for the room(No need to pay extra electricity bill for that). PG are available in nearby sectors around 6k monthly prices.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are really helpful and actually they made your college life best. We had a really good culture in college and there is lot of respect for seniors in college and yes they also adore and guide the juniors in each possible way. I have been part of MANAN club and founder of GeeksMan so I really enjoyed the company of seniors and learned a lot from them.

Admission

Admission is primarily on the basis of Jee Mains score. Based on your rank you get admission in the college. Counselling is conducted by hstes and admission process starts in month of july. After online round of counselling there are 1 or 2 physical counselling rounds in the college premises. I choose CE as it is of my interest and one of the best branch and college I can get through hstes counselling as ymca is top state govt college of haryana.

Faculty

3.5

As it is government college so faculty are highly educated. Almost all of the assistant professor have minimal post graduation in their specialization. Professor are even more qualified having phd degree and lot of research paper. Some teachers are really good in their core specialization while others are moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in the computer science and engineering branch. I want to be a software developer and I am passionate about coding and I love to code that's why I am chosen this branch. The faculty members of my college are awesome and helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They cooperate with students in every situation . they focus much on the weak student so they can also pass the exam. they use the blackboard and smart classes both to teach the student effectively. we have industrial exposure also. the well built spacious will have no importance if not for the wonderful faculty the college has. All are faculty members are highly knowledgeable and done their post graduation from one of the top colleges like IITS. and most of the teachers are GATE qualified and even it is not once. they are writing the exam regularly. so, if you prepare for the GATE exam, then you can get great help from them. they used to prepare us for the GATE exam, along with academics

I am a Delhite and my college is on outskirts of Delhi and also i being residing near du north campus used to think i will enjoy the same college life. but being into a professional (b.tech) course gave me a different view of college and its life. i came to know how to lead a professional ethic life, learnt some good meaningful things.college management is getting strict day by day for laws against students but the other tasks like things that need to be get done from peon are not getting done. ac's dont work even after complaints. in total the college needs a great improvement else it will keep running the business with no fruits.
