Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is different from Pune University as Coep is autonomous institution. Out come based education is a good idea to inculcate in one's better engineering career, as the curriculum is designed seeing the current industry requirements also international internships are available for gaining practical experience and knowledge. COEP has legacy of nurturing bright Engineering students and is having various MNC and Indigenous companies visiting the campus and recruiting fresh graduates, also Industrial as well as construction sites projects visits are conducted as a part of exploring actual in site methods and technologies emerging in engineering to correlate it with theories taught in classes. Semester wise evaluation is there consisting of two tests of 20 marks and one end semester exam of 60 marks, on the basis of marks obtained by students relative grading system is there out of 10 grade points are awarded. Which means Completing credits successfully of subjects. Also Electives are offered and interdisciplinary courses are introduced to ensure overall rational and conceptual thought process. Overall the education system and curriculum development is very good.

Placements of the institution is good for Computer science Electronics Instrumentation however other branches too have good placements Highest package offered to institute as per 2019 data is around 39.60 lpa offered by Microsoft. Average salary package is around 5 lpa Companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs FinIQ, Barclay's, Larsen and Toubro, Tata Motors, Tata power, JSW steel, Phillips, Michaellin Tyeares, Hero motocorp, L&T ECC, etc etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, there are government scholarships available for students who belongs to reserved category, also non government scholarships are also there, to avail such scholarships you just need to check your Emails for any such scholarships details as it's been updated and send by mails to students, Alumini scholarships are also there, to avail it you have to apply it by following process mentioned in mail. Average sum varies depending on the amount of credit donated by the Non government organization or Alumini.

Campus Life

60:40 is the gender ratio of boys is to girls, Elections are conducted to elect students representatives as gymkhana secretary and gathering secretary. Also awareness programs and social initiatives are taken up by institutions like blood donations camps, teaching to poor students etc.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, Coep hostel is a great place to stay for students who opt for it, the rooms are spacious and good, For boys four students shares a room and for girls three girls shares a room. PG nearby charges around 3000-5000rs per month as rent.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes college is having Alumini association which helps in bringing make use of contacts and interaction between students and seniors, college is having notable alumni for instance, Rajiv Bajaj, M vishweshwarrya, Gaur Gopal Das etc.

Admission

This course is very good in engineering and passionate for one who wants to work in construction and infrastructure development This institution is one of the oldest institutions in Asia And provides sound technical as well as practical engineering knowledge and platform for exploring new opportunities in technology As per admission process is concerned 1.MH-CET/JEE entrance exam and merit list based on scores. 2. Direct admission to second year for Diploma students as per their merit and reservations rules laid by govt of maharashtra

No of lectures are conducted as per credits, the no of credits means the no of hours lectures to be conducted for particular course including lab courses of one hour in each week. Around 40 lectures per semester on an average are conducted per semester per course. The faculties in the institution are highly qualified and has vast experience in Teaching field Age group between 40-50 years of age. Online IIT NPTEL Lectures and e learning is provided also. Course content notes are provided which is very helpful in semester exams as well as end semester exams. Also they are very helpful in clarifying doubts of students.

From 4th Year students are eligible for campus placements. The companies that visites my college campus are accenture, capgemini, tcs and many more . The highest package students get places are 12-14 Lakhs per annum and average pakage is around 4-5 lakhs per annum . The percentage of students get places is around 60-80% and majority of them are from CE and IT . Many of them try to get placed from off campus due to their desired companies they want to join or they want more packages

Placement Experience:

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

Placement Experience:

Sakec have many job/internship opportunities. The college provides different trainings and intership opportunities. Currently, in 2023-24, 42 students have alreday been placed with 25 LPA (highest CTC offered). College have tie-up with many reknowed companies. The highest salary package offered is 24 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. My plan after getting the degree of bachelor of engineering is to go for masters and acknowledge more and more knowledge in engineering filed. And be my level best. I'm also looking forward for opportunities to go abroad for my mtech degree. Future my expectations form college are High. I'm sure being a student of such prestigious college with help me alot.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
