Remarks

Choose this college only if you have no any other options.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course is enough good. Electronics and communication is a core branch which is a very demanding branch in the industry. The branch also provide enough knowledge to students togo to the IT companies also. Students have both benifit of core as well as IT.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placement is not good in my college. In UIT, the placement level is medium. In my branch, 40 students were placed out of 70 students. But those students who study well will qualify in GATE exam. In my branch, 15 students have qualified GATE exam in the previous year. So, professors teach well in my college.

College Events

2

Cultural fest is celebrated here in good way but not fixed wether it will be celebrated this year it not. In last 4 year we have only one cultural fest Saraswati Puja is celebrated every year as this is all the contribution of students. Freshers is also not fixed one of our junior batch didn't get freshers. Teachers' day is celebrated every as it is all students contribution. Fairwell is also a student contribution so it also organised. Tech fest is all depending on the mood of administration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

You have to pay 35000 per six months as tution fee. Only offline mode of payment is accepted you have to pay in cash, cheque and draft. Some students also pay directly in college bank account which process is too lengthy. 5400 per six months for hostel Approximately 2300 per month for fooding.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship is provided by the college. Only central and state government scholarship is available. for state government scholarship, you must have recidence of that state. Scholarship amount is totally depends on the government.

Campus Life

2.5

Since its a engineering colleges less more boys and less girls. The boys to girls ratio is 7:1. Sometime workshop happen. Students enjoy there private party lots. There is no any race or religious orientation in this college. Everyone is treated same, no matter from which communities he/she belongs to. No political activities in this college. Most of the students of this college are from middle class family having neither too high economic status nor too low.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes, hostel is average. You have to pay 5400 for six months and you have to share room with other two students also. In boys hostel you will not get any purifier for drinking water but in girls hostel it will be. Food will be good for sometime only. after sometime you have to eat low quality of food.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no any alumni network. For getting help from seniors you must have good contact with them and as much I know every senior is always ready to help the juniors.

Admission

I have passed a entrance exam, WBJEE, the form realise in month of January and the entrance exam held in may. Student has to clear the WBJEE entrance exam and have to follow the counciling process. The college was quite looking good from outside. I have enough interest in Electronics and communication that made me to choose this branch. Since it's a government college, fee was quite well.

Faculty

4

The faculties are quite good. They are helpful and and make you understand anything easily. Most are Mtech and most are PhD. Permanent faculties are less but guest faculties also teaches very well. Students have to attain 5 days classes in week. You must have atleast 75.0% ataindence.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
