Remarks

There is everything negative from me. Positive things are very few. The canteen is very good. The football grounds are good. Infrastructure of the is good. But sports department is only for school students, not for us.

For the course curriculum, its good. There is very scope in the future. There course is semester basis. There is 8 semester in total. Student have to pass in all subjects both theoretical and practical.

Placement Experience

As I am the student of Civil engineering, so I will give my opinion on Civil engineering placements of this college. Its very bad. The TPO of this college doesn't even know the names of civil engineering companies. We use to go and tell her about companies.

College Events

Freshers day, Engineers day, Exhibition, onam christmas celebration, holi e.t.c Arts festival, Sports day, inter college championship, Industrial Visits.College union inaugrations are also conducted.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, there is not any kind of good scholarship or loan facilities. Every student have to take loan from their respective banks or any other institutes for fees. The college do not provide any kind of scholarship or anything like that.

Campus Life

There is so much extracurricular activities like laboratories of many kind of subjects. Sports is also available in this college. But a student have quality to get in the sports team like cricket team, football team, basketball team etc.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no connection between any kind of students. Even we do not know our own classmates from different sections very well. The environment was not suitable for this type of attachments. And students do not interact with the seniors too.

Admission

First I got Diploma in Civil Engineering from a diploma college. Then sat on Jelet Exam in West Bengal. Then got a rank in that exam. After that, a counselling is occurred. In that counselling I choose heritage college.

As I am the student of Civil engineering, so I will give my opinion on Civil engineering faculty of this college. Its very bad to say that faculties are not good enough. There is too much politics in them. They are not good in teaching either.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
