Entrance Preview

Kerala Entrance Examination Selected EEE at GEC Thrissur over Chemical at NIT Calicut Interview is not there. The students will be shortlisted based on either Kerala Engineering Entrance exam or AIEEE.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is affiliated under University of calicut, most toughest university in Kerala.Course structure is application oriented with extra stress to whole round development of the individual.To ensure same wide variety of clubs and societies from innovation club to Space club actively operates there.

Internships Opportunities

No, There is no college organised internship options available. However if students are interested institute used to extend the support to obtain internship during summer holidays.

Placement Experience

Placement Team headed by faculties ensure enough opportunities are made available to the students. Both core companies and IT firms actively recruits from the campus.Due to the extra importance given to learning a vast chunk of the batch used to pursue higher education-IITs,IIMs etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Government subsidized Fees as the selection is only merit based.6200Rs per Year. For the complete 4 year course a student will have to spend less than 32000 Rs in books and college fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Usually students wont opt loan as fees is small but if required there is a State Bank Branch inside the campus to avail any financial aid .This is in addition to the scholarships provided by state government/ departments.

Exam Structure

Exams are conducted by university of calicut. In the 8 semester course there are 7 sets of University exams including Practicals (min 3 Lab sessions per Semester).

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

G.E.C. PALAMU : A. Brief Overview .

Actually I applied in Chandigarh University , KIIT , SRM, and Quantum University . I even. Done the formalities of Quantum University but when the result of JCECEB COUNSELING came I took decision to take admission in this college as for now I think my decision is good . This college first of all government aided which provides a way better option than other private colleges which I opted for . Also this college might not compare with the other private colleges which I mentioned in so called renowned facilities but still we can get all basic facilities here . And all the above the fees here is very much affordable as compared to all the colleges which I mentioned in my list . Means all your engineering course will be completed in about 5 lakhs . which is very much less as compared to even NIT and IIT.
