Remarks

College is really good but it all depends on your hard work, what you did in your 4 years it completely depends on that, if a student consistently gives input he/she will definitely succed and will have a good job at the end of 4 years.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is great here, syllabus for 1st year is common for every branch and from 2nd year students study the things related to their branches.there are 2 papers for examination one is mid semester and the other is final semester, mid semester is of 30 mark and final semester is of 60 mark and 10 no is for your attendence, assignments etc so the final marks for a particular subject is 100. At NIT SRINAGAR we follow cgpa system. Industrial visits are also organised for skill development of the students in 5th or 6th semester

Placement Experience

4

Placement over here is decent not very good not very bad if you study consistently you will be definitely placed many big companies visited the campus for their placement drive like L&T,byjus, iocl, Avanti learning, cgi, ceat tyres, Gail, Suzuki motors, increff, eagle view, Wipro, vedanta, cogoport, policy Bazaar, tally solutions, brillio, taja projects, Oyo, capgemini, zs associates, Optum, Samsung India, blogvault, wheelseye, Infosys, alstom, lowesindia and many more. college also train student's before placement

College Events

4

There are many tech fests like techvaganza There are dj nights, freshers party, farewell etc Techvaganza is the biggest technical fest of NIT SRINAGAR with participation of many students across the valley it lasts for about 1 week Many cultural fests are also organised by the administration of our college at regular time intervals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Btech fee structure is divided into various income slabs that's is for 1 lack below income no titution fee is charged, they have to only pay the expenses of hostel and mess the second income slab is for 1-5 lakhs income they get 50% off on the tuition fee and for income slab above 5 lakhs, they have to pay entire tution fee which is around 1.5 lakh per year including hostel and mess. There is complete transparency in this as all process is done online and as the institution is a central government funded college so their is complete JEE MAIN score basis selection in this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the college offers scholarship too, their is a portal named as NSP ( national scholarship portal ) there we apply for scholarship from our college, the college provides us the bonafide certificate by which we can apply for the scholarship, everyone studying in the college is eligible to apply for the scholarship whose amount is near about RS 10,000

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is poor here it may be 10:1 over here it means 10 boys to 1 girl, we have regular workshops, comptetions like debate, gk quiz etc are regularly conducted b, sports facility over here is also good we have indoor sports complex with table tennis, chess, carrom etc we also have cricket ground, basketball ground, badminton ground etc. We have have societies over here like dance club, music club, robotics club, coding club with active participation of both boys and girls.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are really great over here, as I expected how a government hostel would look like but here it's completely opposite my hostel looks like a hotel room with all the basic facilities available 24 hours, facilities include 24 hour water, electricity, internet facilities like LAN, JIO FIBER, WI-FI with very high speed, daily cleaning of hostels by the maintenance staff etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors here are very helpful they help you in all the aspects in which they can from giving you their notes, books, accessories etc till guiding you to what to do next, alumni network of your college is also very good, they are placed at high administrative levels in the company for example DR. RAMESH BABU, he is passout from NIT SRINAGAR, mechanical engineering department he is today the director (operations) of NTPC.

Admission

NIT SRINAGAR takes admission of the basis of JEE MAIN score, you need a tank under 30-35k for general category other state to get admission in a decent branch in this college for computer science you need a rank maximum upto 20k to get admission over here for general category other state student and rank of 30-35k for core branches like ECE, MECHANICAL, CIVIL etc and you get branches like metallurgy and chemical till 45-50k rank also in the last rounds of counseling.

Faculty

4

Here we follow 5 days a week schedule Saturday and Sundays are off, we have classes from morning 9am till 4-5 pm with 5-6 classes daily on a average, teachers are also well qualified and have a good command on their subjects but these theoritical knowledge does not hold any relevant industry experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
