College Review

Management is good, Now it is giving quite well placements but in our time we didn't got this good opportunity.

4 Years Course, 8 Semesters are there. In every Semester 2 internal exams are there which consists of 30 marks each and the semester exam is of 70 marks and rest 30 Marks is added from these internal Exam. 1st Semester consists of non departmental subjects. And from 2nd Semester Departmental subjects starts on adding.

Not upto the marks when I was there. As there was no such good number of placements given by college. So I didn't got any placement.

Freshers, Teachers Day, Alacrity the Annual Cultural and Technical Fest of College. Students from every College from North Bengal participate in this Technical Fest which is one the largest Technical Fest in North Bengal. The fest goes for 4 days. And each day has different Technical and Cultural activities.

I was under TFW( Tution Fee Weaver) where I only paid exam fees. For Rest there is a package of 3.5 lakh total except exam fees which is of ?1000 per semester. For regular students they have to pay the fees in every Semester which is arround ?35000 and have to pay by Demand Draft. There is and Amount of 16000 out of which 10000 is refundable is to be paid to college in order to secure an admission in the college. Yes College provide transparency in the fees breakdown.

As my admission was through WBJEE, I got admission under TFW ( Tuition Fees Weaver), to avail this family income should be below 2.5 lakh annually.

Each department has different gender ratio although our department (Computer Science And Engineering) had a gender ratio of 60% girls 40% boys. College conducts many workshop in collaboration with different Technical Organisations. There is no discrimination with any race, religion, caste, gender, etc. College is Anti-ragging College with zero ragging rate.

Although I have not available the hostel facilities but could tell as many of my friends had availabled it. College provide only boys hostel, in each room 2 person can accommodate. Average rent was of 36000. And the facilities are quite upto the marks.

College Seniors were great they helped us in every way they can. They guided us so that we can easily adapt the environment and also helped in academics.

I got admission through WBJEE. We have to give Entrance Exam and also should get a 45% Average in Physics Chemistry Mathematics. Then Merit list will be prepared and Online Councelling will be there, have to choose Colleges and according to rank, college will be allocated and after allocation Admission can be taken.

Every Asst Professor has to be minimum M.Tech. And lab assistant has to be BTech or MSc. Everyone is well qualified and are good faculty. Average age of faculties are nearly of 30 years Old. They are quite expert in their domain and their lectures are quite good and students can easily understand.
