Remarks

My college management is good and management is respected in him is the college

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

We had yearly exams. You need to pass the college tests to get eligible to sit for the final University examinations. Of course the helped me alot for future growth as I opted for my Post Graduation later with the same subject. Helped me grow with my English skills as well.

Placement Experience

0.5

Under Graduate general course colleges do not provide placements. Thus no companies visited us neither did we visit any company from college. The tentative percentage of students passed out that year from my department was around 80%.

College Events

3.5

1. Freshers 2. Rabindra Jayanti 3. Independence Day 4. Fest 5. Saraswati Puja 6. Reunions 7. Durga Puja and Dasami And many more. The union students along with the other students and teachers faculty, we all celebrated each and every occasions. And literally waited for the next year to come.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yeah the fee structure is feasible. All Monthly or Quarterly or Yearly payment modes were available. No extra or hidden or additional amount is charged at the time of admission. Along with the college fees, every student needs to pay an amount for appearing for yearly examination.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship or education loans were provided at that time. So no such facilities were available.

Campus Life

4

There is no gender ratio. One gets admitted through their eligibility irrespective of male or female. Extracurricular activities are provided as well. Table tennis, cricket match, football match, badminton, basketball are all organized from the college itself.

Hostel Facilities

3

No. No hostel facilities. The college was near my house so I didn't opt for any P.G. as well. I used to travel daily from to college to home daily via public transportation. It was 20 to 30 mins journey one way.

Alumni/Alumna

Yhe new comers or the juniors never face any tough situation from their seniors. They are all very friendly and helpful. No ragging or bullying. Its truly a very friendly environment for any student to live laugh and study. You can reach out to them with any issues. They are always there to help you.

Admission

One need to fill up and submit the admission form (online/ offline) within the last date of submission along with the form fee. After the merit list get published, one need to submit the documents and admission fee and get enrolled. I personally wanted to get enrolled for the B.A. English honours course. And thus got enrolled under Calcutta University in the same college.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of English department was incredible. The teachers were all doctorates in their respective papers. Not only within the college timings, we could reach out to then at any point of time and they eagerly helped us the our doubts and problems. Every day we had atleast 3 honours classes for 1 n half hours each. All experienced teachers within the age group of 35 to 40 helped us to grow with their knowledge and experience.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
