Course Curriculum Overview
The course provided for us is lucid and we are to achieve it, but the books provided from library are not well. Yes, it is relvant and resarch driven and fair. When it comes to exam, we are required to sit with a different branch and in different rooms. The exam, that we give help us on making a better profession by only learning the things and earning the knowledge
Placement Experience
Placement sector is good for a few branch and worst for a few branch. OIL, ONGC, Coal india and various other companies. The students with more than 6 pointer are allowed to sit in the placement shell and the one who is able to present him or her in the best way gets the job. No, basically not. When it comes to interships, the college provide internships from 3rd semenster.
College Events
We celebrate various events. From techanical to cultural. Tech fest in the college are celebrated with quite a zeal and even the aluminis come to visit us during this time. Cultural fest, which the college holds is quite kind of a competition. The paticipation of students is quite commentable cause its like a war among the students, to who will achieve the prize
Fee Structure And Facilities
From my point is feasible, we are to pay per semester and since its an government collegr, the fee structure is low. Besides that, they recive only cash and yes they provide transparency. No, additional charges are required to be paid, except the exam fees, which i feel is too much, in the name of exam fee
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, we are prvided with various scholarships but we are eligible for applying only one. It is completely merit based,i.e, the person having the better gades will achieve it. 45000/-
Hostel Facilities
Yes. Juniors, i.e, the first year are provided with dorm with capacity 13-15, while seniors were provided with room. Since only one girls hostel prevails, it creates a lot of problem, from shortage of water to sometimes shortage of food for breakfast, which results us to go to college in an empty stomach. The hostel premisis is not very proper and so monkeys living around enters the room and eats or steal everything they see.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, they are very helpful and friendly. In time of need they are always here for cheering and motivating us. Well some seniors were moody and some were kind, but whenver asked for help, they never refused
Admission
Through an entrance exam. I wanted to do engineering. When it comes to selection of the college, everyone will choose the best. And here in assam, the best govt engineering college is where i am currently studying. For the admission, we were to pass an entrance exam and then go through counselling in which we choose what field and what college we choose. Exam basically happens in may. Results in june and counselling in july, along with the fresh start of classes from july itself
Faculty
The teacher are friendly and co-operative. They try their best to impart their knowledge. A lecture of fifty five minutes is provided to every teacher and from 8:00am-3:00pm, we are to listen to the lectures provided by them. Yes at points they do speak for the placement shell and for our future but not a particular industry.
