I love my college very much. From there i learned the value of friendship. I had lot of friends there and my teachers are also very friendly.

Entrance Preview

Kerala entrance of engineering. I got around 20000th rank. I love computer science. So i choose it as my main stream and i selected jyothi because it stands in the 3rd position of calicut university during that time.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is according to the syllabus of calicut university. Calicut university will provide one syllabus book and learning is the basis of that syllabus. They also provide electives and we can choose elective as our requirement.

Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

From the starting of our college itself our internship courses also started. There is a period allocated for our training. Faculties from major companies reached in our college and taught us about company opportunities.

Placement Experience

The main companies reached in our college are: Infosys, Federal bank, TCS, HCL. In infosys around 50 were placed and in federal bank around 30 were placed.

College Events

Our college is famous for cultural events. Tech fest will held in every year which includes technical events, cultural events and so on. It is a 3 day program and over it cultural programs are there for onam, xmas, college days etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college is working under a management system. During our time it was totally a management college. So fees is also there. For each semester we need to pay 35000 and now it is working as 50/50 i.e, half seat according to management and other half according to government fees.

Loan facilities and scholarships are giving by our college. Loan is given by Federal bank and they are giving scholarship for 10 students.

Campus Life

Creativity is the highest form of intelligence. Over time, after developing a more advanced creative brain, I started feeling that my college education was more so something to be ashamed of rather than something to be proud of.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good. In one room 3 people were accommodated. In a week they will provide non veg food items for 3 days.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are very friendly and there is no ranging in our college. Our college is conducting alumni meet in every year. So many pass out students will be there for it. Some cultural events are also there.

Exam Structure

Our main is university exams that occurs at the end of semester. There is also 3 midterms within one semester.

Faculty

College faculties are good at teaching, behaving and encouraging each and every students. They are like friends and we can share anything to them. They also encourage students in cultural activities.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

As my college doesn't promote any festivals or celebrations its top most priority is to provide quality education to their students. Good Campus and enjoyed the time in there.

We had a common exam for the admissions. And the rank in the exam determines which college we get to study. I was trying to get into the government college. But didn't had enough rank to get the set. The real review

Actually when I was writing my boards I paid 10000 and they asked me to block myself a seat. They kept two conditions two score above 85 percentage in 12th and keam should be qualified.i happened to get both so after that I went back to college they gave me a check list of documents to bring for registration. I bought those they registered me in.
