Remarks
Good thing is that the staff are very helpful and take a lot of initiative. Bad thing is that the management team isny very Cooperative during admission. They will talk to you very nicely when you take the admission for the first year, then when you have to repeat he process for next year, they show their true colours.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I chose engineering, it is very technical related or practical related knowledge. It is very helpful in the industry and almost all the students get placed in various top recruiters like Tata motors, wipro, etc The subjects are truly relevant. There were atleast 5 industrial visits each semester. On top of that we also had guest lectures.
Placement Experience
I am currently doing an internship in Tata motors. The placements according to my senior was great. The salaries were also good compared to other colleges in the vicinity. The tentative percentage is about 70 to 75% not considering the people who want to do further education. Our college holds various programmes before placements which help students getting placed.
College Events
We have had various fun fests, dandiya nights, many events and other competition with exciting cash prizes. Also our college has a huge lawn which is the place where all of this is organised. We had also celebrated a lot of days like traditional day, mismatch day, black and white day, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is about 60000 for open category. However if a student gets admission through TFWS, it reduces to about 7000. Modes of payment were credit/debit card or RTGS or demand draft. Atleast I didn't pay any extra fee to secure any admission but some of my friends had done so(for management quota). The fee breakdown is also mentioned in the fee receipt we get.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't apply for an educational loan. But I have friends who have got selected via TFWS (toppers fee waiving scheme). They have to pay only the exam fee and the development fee which totals upto 7000 only. There is no extra form for that. We just have to select it during the cap round options for college.
Campus Life
The gender ratio for my course was extremely bad. For a class of 60, 55 were boys and only 5 were girls. We have farewell parties, diwali parties and our college also organises annual gatherings. There are many competitions organised and our staff take a lot of initiative to make it successful. There are many people who are from just above poverty line and there are also people who own 5. 6 industries in our college.
Hostel Facilities
I didn't opt for an hostel, but I have visited my friends room many times. The hostels were preety decent and standard. One room was for 2 students. The hygiene sometimes wasn't taken care of(speaking about the washrooms). The hostel fee is about 40000 I suppose including mess fees (not sure). Also I know nothing about the seats available each year.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors told us about the nature of the staff when we used to meet them. Even if we have any doubts, we freely used to ask them. There was no ragging in our college. I haven't ever faced any problem with our seniors. Some of our alumni now also come to give us guest lectures.
Admission
I got it based on merit. I opted for this course beacuse I am passionate about machines and hope to learn a lot about them. Firstly I had to register on an online site of dte Maharashtra and get my documents verified there. Then I had to go to cao centre and ask them to verify my profile. After that I had choosen my alternative college and then I got selected in CAP 1. after that I approached the college and confirmed my admission by paying the fees and completing the admission form.
Faculty
For my course, I had about 15 faculty members of average age of 35. Every one had completed their engineering and some of them had also done thier masters. Not all the staff are great lecturers. Some lectures were very boring despite the subject being ver interesting. Many of the staff had certificates related to the course from AICTE/NPTEL. Very few of them had industrial experience.
