Course Curriculum Overview
Yes. The knowledge and learning they provide is very practical. The lectures are nice. The teachers/ professors are having in-depth knowledge of the subject and take way many efforts so as to ensure we understand the subject. Now, our college is autonomous, so there are even projects which makes us better at the course ehich we are doing right now.
Placement Experience
There are placements in our college. Companies such as ICICI, other banks, automobile companies have visited our organisation for the placements. Initially, they keep a GD session out of which some of them are selectef for the personal interview round wherin they look for the personality, gpa, etc. Personally, I haven't taken any part in any internship offered by my college yet.
College Events
UMANG, ALEGRIA - The biggest fest of our college, then RTN - the dancing cimmunity, most of our students l, alumini anf other college students particilate in Alegria - the festival of joy. It is a 4 to 5 day long event which includes various types of competitions.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The program fee is feasible. It is not too expensive. They used to accept the fees only by cash or DD, but now as the situation is, due to pandemic. They have started taking the fee online. The very disappointing thing is the admission for anither year is to tlbe taken on the specified 2 days only and everything, i e form,Id card, fee is to be done within those 2 days only. It is very diffucult to complete the process in the period as there is a huge line to pay the fees. It is a 4 hour long process. They do provide transperancy. The give us the break-up
Fees and Financial Aid
No, the college didnt offer any kind if scholarships to general caegort students. There were scholarships but for the OBC, and other caste students.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is equal. We have old canteen area which belongs to the fashion students, dance students. The library is also huge. Every sort of book is available there. The gymkhana is the best, it has all the games. The garden is too big. Also, the sports ground has basketball facilities, football facilities etc. Labs are also there. There are various seminars also conducted to grow the students personality, they even conduct various workshops and essential courses such as Tally and other stuff.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes. We have golden saturdays in which the alumini's visit our college and give us presentation, informations, and knowledge on various topics which are important in life and career as well. They are very helpful as they speak out of exoerience and they let us know what are the do's and dont's.
Admission
In my area, Pillai college is a prestigious college and it provides all the courses i.e be it for Commerce, Arts, Science, Enginereeing, Architecture,etc. Also, it was near to the place where I reside. I applied to this college via the online admission process after 12th. We needed ti do the process online and offline. So, filled the form offline as well. Then the lists were announced. I got the name in the 2nd list.
Faculty
Everyday there are around 5 lectures. And our college is working for 6 days. Even saturdays we have all the lectures. Teachers are expertise in thier subjects. The teachers giving us guidance have atkeast 8 yrs of past experience. If, we have any doubt we can have a word with the respective teacher and they make sure we get all our doubts cleared. The syllabus is completed on time.and even some revision lectures are conducted prior examinations.
