Course Curriculum Overview

3

the course covered solid foundation and took me in a particular direction as if someone wants to go in data analytics field they can opt BSc IT and from second year the clg gave us two options to choose from data science and UI UX. the curriculum was updated to the current insdustry trends and practices the provides workshops seminars too to guide the exam level need to be upgrated to more difficult and i have seen they put lot of similar and easy questions in the paper and in practicals which doesnt make any one work hard or to solve a problem out of syllabus or to try new problems. the timings of the exams were okay but sometimes i faced the faculty making more lengthy paper which made students leave some questions

Internships Opportunities

1

in BSC IT, the placement cell handled the procedure of placements , i dont know the companies which came in the placement fair in our company but they offered stipend around 15k positions generally offered were - graphic designing and video editing UI and UX web development

Placement Experience

1

from second year only the start with internship fairs and in third year they do the job fair very few IT companies were there. i dont know the exact companies which came in the college but TCS and infosys average pacakge for BSC IT was 2-4 LPA placement rate around 40 % i will look for a job after my degree

Admission

colleges i applied too ... MGM panvel and pillai panvel and i got confirmation from both the colleges but i choose pillai because of the frequenty events happening and the celebrity guest with a good campus. no i didnt get any rejection from other colleges. i only applied for bsc it field eligibility - more than 70% in 12th no separate exams were required for BSC IT

Faculty

4

the faculty to student ratio is around 1:60 which is fairly standard. experienced teachers , faculty is generally supportive but experience levels vary by dept. while i was in my first year i liked sreeidya nair maam she is very humble and sweet with good teaching skills and when i was in my second year i liked dhanya maam she is also humble and sweet and in third year i liked omkar sir he was very supportive towards their students and guided them. exams - in a year , there will be first unit test project and vivas practicals theory paper the exam was very easy and some students had kts . according to me as exams being very easy the competition was not there if we take technically growth by solving new problems

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
