Views on my College, IIIT Pune

We were mentored by COE, Pune for the first three years. Now We have our own management system headed by Director and registrar. Our management system is quite helpful to students. They are doing great. At last, I can just say if you are seeking a good education with ambitions to work in good hands of the national, My college is the best option for you. It will give you the taste of a new institute and provide you with endless opportunities to cultivate.

My college fully focuses on technologies coming up in the IT sector. The curriculum is designed in such a way that meets the current scenario of the CS and the IT industry. College organises seminars, workshops, and competitions from time to time to aware students of newborn technologies. To build leading and professional skills college organises soft skills classes every semester.

This year 2020, the first batch of our college passed out. For utter surprises, I can say proudly that My college made history. Almost 100% of students got placed in prominent companies with an average package of 10 to 12 LPA. This is was the moment of the owner of our college. Companies visit our college mostly in the 7th semester. The hiring process depends on companies. It is most likely comprised of three parts. They first conduct the Reasoning plus Basic branch Knowledge test. After Technical interviews take place and then HR. Our college has offered internships to more than 50% of students last year. Being an institute of national importance, companies visit our college for placements willingly.

We organize many fests in our college technical and non-technical as well. We have organised technical events like enigma and iconclave for the students of our college. The event was great and students felt the taste of good competition. We have also organised a cultural fest named Cest La Vie. It was a great success for our college. It lasted for two days and We made it a grand success. We also organise sports fest "Eklavya".

We have to pay the college fee for the starting of the semester. It is accepted through the online portal of SBI. Our college charges a fee as prescribed by the HRD Ministry. It is not expensive and not too less. I can say that College charges fee as other HRD Ministry college charges.

I have opted for an education loan. As per the guideline of the central govt. You can easily get your loan approved as you are studying at HRD Ministry college. Bank gives a subsidy on loan interests. I applied to PNB bank and It got approved in no time. The first installment of the college fee has to be paid by you then apply for the loan. They will send the amount equal to the paid fee to your bank account.

The gender ratio is very bad in engineering colleges like ours. But being a central govt. College, We have a good ratio of girls and boys. We follow the guidelines of hrd ministry to conduct various extracurricular activities. We organise a robotics tech fest as well. We have visited IIIT Trichy in the student exchange program. Our college has a number of clubs regarding such activities like Quiz, Drama, Music and literary clubs. We organise meetings on weekly basis.

My college comes under the residential college category. It is advisable to reside in the hostel for a better experience. Yes, I have opted for a hostel and it gave me a great experience. I personally advise you to opt for the hostel. The cost is nominal for the same.

The first batch passed out recently. Being in the prefinal year batch, I can say that our senior has made a benchmark for all of us. They got placed in good companies with reasonable packages. They helped us a lot to get internships and other activities. They were like a mentor to us.

I qualified for JEE Mains. I was searching for a computer science course in a good location. When I found about my current college, it met my expectation. It was in Pune and completely focuses on Computer Science and technology. We have only two branches CSE and ECE. To get admission, one has to participate in the counseling of JOSSA organized by the HRD ministry after qualifying for JEE Mains. Once you got your offer letter on the JOSSA site you have to reach your nearest reporting center provided by JOSSA. After completion of the counseling process, you can report to the college on provided dates.

My college is working in 2016. Our college follows the norms of the HRD Ministry and hires its employees accordingly. Faculties have studied from the prominent institute of our country and have a notable appearance in the IT community. We have faculty with industry experience as well as good research background. They have research papers published in various publications. They are members of various societies concerned about technologies.
